This is a very good quality fixture, EXCEPT for some blemishes in the finish that are noticeable if you are standing around or sitting at the dining table. I assume that it is not first-quality, although it wasn't sold as a second or "imperfect". I don't know that I would have purchased it had I known the finish wasn't perfect, but you could't see the problem until it was actually hanging, and by then it was more trouble than it was worth to take it down, repack it, and pay to send it back, plus I had to pay the installer whether I kept it or not. I did inspect it before having it installed, but the finish is mottled on the underside of the bottom, the one place I didn't look. If I had paid more for it, I would have sent it back.
