Rather than drive to every lighting store in the City, I decided to venture on line to locate a pair of Tiffany Lamps for our recently redecorated Bedroom. This is the first time I've purchased such a delicate item on line and was nervous about it's being damaged during shipment. Upon it's arrival all was great, no breakage, the lamps work great and are beautiful !

A very nice lamp. The base has more mass than the "resin" description would suggest. The art glass and craftsmanship is on a par with Tiffanies costing much more.

Such a lovely lamp, but the one I received had poorly machined parts that had difficulty fitting together. The finial and spacing rod were not the proper length, which resulted in an unstable shade that would swing like a bell.

The threading of the long finial screw was very rough, and even with high quality liquid silicon I use on antiques, electronics and musical instruments, it could not screw into the socket. And it stuck up far above the shade, providing no stability. The pieces of the body likewise had a less than sturdy fit.

These problems could be fixed with a trip to the hardware store, but I wanted a nice lamp, not another do-it-yourself project.

As I reconsidered my purchase, I realized that although the lamp *looks* nice, there was a roughness to the finish of both the body and the shade that I had not expected. The devil is in the details, as they say.

I'm returning the lamp and canceled an order for a matching floor lamp.

Such a disappointment!
