What a great idea - to put a volume of short quotes together in one book! I got this book for my husband, a history teacher, and he loves it. No more searching through random quote websites for short, sweet quotes with substance. Most of them have some historical significance as well, so he often uses them for an impromptu history less on the speaker and the context.

I definitely recommend this volume for anyone with a "quote a day" habit. Perfect!

I've always liked quick quotes that I can remember, but haven't ever had a good collection with so many all in one place. This book is just that. It's great to take down off the shelf during a random 5 minutes at the office when I need a little inspiration. Works great for marketing folks (or probably anyone) who find themselves in a rut and need to kickstart some ideas! And like somebody else said in a review already, it's definitely good for adding a little zip to presentations to keep people's interest and drive home your point.

It is amazing how much wisdom has come from the authors presented in this volume. The quotes, all ten words or less, each speak to themes that are so very relevant to today's times. No matter the occasion; a big speech, inspiration or pep talk - this book should be in everyone's arsenal as you are sure to find the perfect quote for any occasion.
