5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!
I am so impressed with Quote Junkie; I have purchased two books of different editions for class and enjoyed them so much I decided to get another. These quotes are out of the box in there thinking but validated by the world's most respected philosophers. Get it, get it, get it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Kindle Version - Like a Word Puzzle
I looked forward to getting a lot of quotes in a book. I have a Kindle, so I ordered the Kindle version. The quotes apparently aren't formatted for the Kindle as there are groupings of words. An example of how it is on the Kindle would be this quote from Abraham Lincoln - "WhenIdogood, Ifeel good.WhenIdobad, Ifeel bad.That'smyreligion." Another one:...

5.0 out of 5 stars Bringing to Light What We Fail to Notice, April 1, 2008
This review is from: Quote Junkie: Philosophy Edition: Over 1300 Quotes From Great Philosophers And Others Who Have Had Philisophical Moments Of Wisdom (Paperback)
"The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice, and by failing to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change. But, by noticing what we fail to notice, we can shape our hopes and dreams."

This book provides a wide variety of self-reflection mechanisms that are imperative to personal growth and reflection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb!, March 26, 2008
This review is from: Quote Junkie: Philosophy Edition: Over 1300 Quotes From Great Philosophers And Others Who Have Had Philisophical Moments Of Wisdom (Paperback)
I am amazed by the number of different quotes, different topics, and different people that are in this book! Before reading this book, the only philosophers I knew of were Aristotle and Socrates. This book is very impressive. This is one you should put in your personal library.

1.0 out of 5 stars Kindle Version - Like a Word Puzzle, March 4, 2010
I looked forward to getting a lot of quotes in a book. I have a Kindle, so I ordered the Kindle version. The quotes apparently aren't formatted for the Kindle as there are groupings of words. An example of how it is on the Kindle would be this quote from Abraham Lincoln - "WhenIdogood, Ifeel good.WhenIdobad, Ifeel bad.That'smyreligion." Another one: "Insinctisuntaught ability. AlexanderBain" So, if you enjoy word puzzles and quotes all at once, you get your money's worth. But I wanted to concentrate on the quotes, therein the one star rating.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Quote Junkie: Philosophy Edition: Over 1300 Quotes From Great Philosophers And Others Who Have Had Philisophical Moments Of Wisdom (Paperback)
Quotes are okay, but I resent being sold the same quotes in more than one book. I will not purchase another Hagopian Institute book.

If you have the time to read page after page to find your quote, then this is the book for you. However, if like most you need a quick quote then this definately not the right choce. There is no table of contents nor are the quotes listed under specific topics. If like me you want a reference book that is user friendly. keep looking folks!
