I enjoyed the author's work so long as he focused on the irrefutable fact that haddith is forbidden by the Qur'an, and is completely un-Islamic. (Not to mention downright weird.)

The 19 issue is intellectually interesting, but his need to convince people of the veracity of the Qur'an seems not much different than the haddithian's insistence that they need to...

Dr. Khalifa's study of the Quran with the computer, the first of its kind , resulted in the discovery of one of the greatest miracles of the Quran. This miracle had to do with number 19, mentioned in sura 74(the dicovery was made in 1974 which coincides 1406=19*74 years after the revelation of Quran) Dr. Khalifa called on the Muslims to follow the Quran alone and to disregard all the fabrications and lies that filled the Hadith and Sunna books. The Muslim scholars, shocked by his stand after they supported his Mathematical discoveries in the Quran, considered him a great risk for their traditional teachings. That risk was specially greater after he received a world wide recognition and support for his discoveries of the Mathematical Miracle of the Quran. When Dr. Khalifa's view about following Quran alone (and not the fabrications in Hadith and traditions) was published, a campaign of intimidation, insults, fabrications, and accusations of misconduct

against him started. Many of the Muslim Scholars who cheered him for the Mathematical Miracle of the Quran tried to play down its significance even at the expense of the truth. In their refusal to listen to the word of God in the Quran, many of the Muslim scholars and their followers increased the campaign of attacks on Dr. Khalifa and on his message. The message that calls on the believers to go back to the Quran and to reject the fabrications and lies that filled the Hadiths and Sunna books. They failed to tackle the issues or defend their wrongdoings that contradict the Quranic commandments. After they failed in assailing his character and in diverting the people away from his call to go back to the Quran, they assassinated him in January, 1990.

Thanks to Amazon.com & thanks to Dr. Rashad Khalifa.

When it is claimed that a book is God's words, there should be a prove supports this claim. This book is one of many other proves that the Quran is the Holly God (Allah) words. This prove done by the computer "the miracle of the 20th century" to show the very amazing accuracy and perfects of the Holly Quran, which never can be found in any other book in the world. Taking into account that the Quran revealed to the holly Prophet Mohammed (Peace upon him & upon all God messengers) 14 centuries ago in a very ignorance era. God (Allah) says in the Holly Quran:-

1- "A book which we (God) have revealed to you (P. Mohammed) so that you may lead the people from out of the darkness into the light by their Lord's leave to the path of the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy."

2- "Verily We (God) revealed the Quran and We (God) are protecting it (from any change or/& corruption)."

3- " Do they not cosider the Quran (with care), if it had been from other than the God they would have therein much discrepancy."

4- And whoso desires a religion other than the submission to the God (Islam), never it will be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers."

5- "We shall show them our signs (portents) in the universe and within themselves untill it will be manifest unto them that it is the TRUTH. Doth not thy Lord suffice, since He is Witness over all things?"

6- "And say: Praise be to the God, He will show you His signs (portents) so that you shall know them." Yes our great all-knowing Lord, the Lord of all worlds, we declare that we saw your signs in the univrse & in ourselves.

Truly are the God words. True if it is from else than the God we will never see this accuracies and perfects.

" No deity except the God (Allah) & Mohammed is his last messenger (to all mankind)."

I enjoyed the author's work so long as he focused on the irrefutable fact that haddith is forbidden by the Qur'an, and is completely un-Islamic. (Not to mention downright weird.)

The 19 issue is intellectually interesting, but his need to convince people of the veracity of the Qur'an seems not much different than the haddithian's insistence that they need to explain, add to, refute, and improve upon what Allah had to say.

If we never solve the mystery of the Qur'anic reference to the number 19, it should be no loss to those who seek spiritual guidance. After all, religion is based on the miracle of faith. It seems likely that those seeking proof are actually seeking some form of superiority rather than spirituality -- a quest that so often leads to self-aaggrandizement, to which the author seems to have fallen victim in the final analysis.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating stuff but credibility is marred by inaccuracies, March 27, 2001
This review is from: Quran: Visual Presentation of the Miracle (Paperback)
Although the mathematical nature of the holy Quran is fascinating, Rashad's zeal to prove his point leads him to include examples that are clearly inaccurate. While I am impressed by his discoveries, his credibility began to fade by some poor mathematical examples explained in the book. He gets the word count wrong in a few examples (the word MA in Arabic meaning 'what' is not counted and joined with another word). This indicates that Rashad either does not know his Arabic language well or is delibrately misleading the reader (both explanation would be disasterous to his credibility).

As I am both an Arab and a Muslem he gives me a lot to think about. He has my admiration for cracking the hidden code. However that does not raise him or qualify him to be a prophet or God's Messenger. This claim I cannot accept specially as the 'proof' for it is just plain silly (and incidently wrong: he uses the value of 505 a value for his own name 'Rashad' while bu his own rules it should be 506). I think the finding of the code has gone to his head and he became mad beleieving that he has become a sepcial messenger from God.

I now think that many muslems are not actually against his finding that the Quran is truly the word of God and is woven with mathemitical patterns. But they resent Rashad's claim to be a prophet.

1.0 out of 5 stars nothing new in his claim, December 14, 2004

RAZEE (HOUSTON,TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Quran: Visual Presentation of the Miracle (Paperback)
so many false claimants happened and so will be in future.
He tried to trape his readers in the web of numbers but totally failed.
he claims his name as RASHAD KHALEEFA...CODED IN QURAN..
BUT WHEN he added his name to prove his baseless claim he just added 1st part of his name :rashad..not adding KHALEEFA.caz it proves his claim just a trash itself. The number value of his full name is 1230 not 505.this very 1st thing proves him a liar just like other liars .Besides that there are so many people whos name( even the animals names) cotains the number value of 505 so whats special with this insane so called khaleefa .should every person claim prophathood just because his name value is 505,then what about those anemals having the same number value..
what a pitty.

1.0 out of 5 stars A classical sample of deceptive writing...once more, September 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Quran: Visual Presentation of the Miracle (Paperback)
This is a classical sample of deceptive literature common in the last 50 years. In between the line, the author is introducing his non-muslim movement Khaliffite by confusing the reader by his so called mathematical miracle of the Quran. By the way, I would like to add that his translation of the Quran is completely errounous. In his translation, he deleted many verses, changed and added others just for the sake to preserve his non-sense errounous mathematical theory. Even his theory, even a primary school student can demontrate how wrong it is. This is because the author himself strictly speaking is not a muslim and belonged to an anti-islamic sect.
