This review is from: Qusat Habebain (Audio CD)
its back again to traditional music, the music that made Mr Al Saher famous in the first place. Its an amazing album, with careful selections including two songs written by Mr Al Saher himself. Mr Al Saher has throughout revloutionised Arabic poetry with his amazing songs which include Ana Wa Layala, Alamani and Gholi Ohibook. His album has a fascinating range of songs anstonuishingly Kan Sadeeqi and Lo Anana. Many say that Mr Al Saher's talent has died, but with every album i feel he is proving to his critics that he'still the caesar of Arabic music.

Excellent CD from a mature artist,

This review is from: Qusat Habebain (Audio CD)
I am not an expert on Arabic-language music so there may be artists out there whom I don't know yet, but of those whom I do know, I would have to rate Kazem al-Saher at the very top, based on repeated listenings of this CD and his Impossible Love. While Amr Diab has managed to overcome his male-hunk image with a solid mix of traditional and techno, he simply does not have the depth of Kazem. This CD, Qusat Habebain, boasts an excellent variety of tasteful, thoughtful songs that could only come from a mature, focused artist. What a pity that 99% of western listeners cannot get past the language barrier and the unfamiliarity of the music. This is a man who can be mentioned in the same breath as Caetano Veloso, Bob Marley, and Bob Dylan.
