I have had the QX1-3000D installed for 3 months now and I gotta say, it's the ishh!
I bought it for $175 from amazon a few months ago. It's obviously a monoblock amp (1-channel) and it's specs state:

***(4 ohms) - 1100 Watts (RMS)
***(2 ohms) - 1800 Watts (RMS)
****(1 ohm) - 2300 Watts (RMS)

however, I doubt that it puts out even 3/4 of that. But I must say, it is loud as hell and puts out clean bass.
I am incredibly impressed at how clean (undistorted) the bass is.
I say this because I have it hooked up at 2 ohms and, in my experience, 2 ohm setups have exhibited more distortion than 4 ohm setups (don't quote me).


MY SETUP
I currently have a 15" Memphis Audio HPO sub in a custom ported box I built (~3.5 ft^3 - tuned to 37 Hz).
This sub is dual 4 ohm voice coils.
I have it hooked up in parallel (hence, 2 ohms).

My head unit is stock, and I have the amplifier hooked up through a high-input/low-output converter (~$5 unit that takes power from speakers wires and outputs signal through RCA wires).


THE AMP
The Kole has a:
***variable subsonic filter (15Hz - 40Hz)
***variable low pass filter (50Hz - 150Hz)
***bass boost (at 45Hz)
***phase switch (0 degrees or 180 degrees)
***bass knob (black with a single volume knob, no LEDs)

It does not have any fuses (so you MUST install your own).
The power terminals take a MINIMUM of true 4 gauge wire (I am currently using 0 gauge with no problems).


PERFORMANCE
I have the gain on the Kole "ALL the way DOWN", and the bass boost at ~1/4.
The Low-Pass Filter is set to ~60 Hz and the subsonic to 15 Hz.
When the auxiliary bass knob (installed under the steering wheel) is on 1/2
the bass is loud as freaking hell.
With DJ Magic Mike (Album: Bass the way it should be done) is popped in,
I swear the bass was so loud my vision was blurring!

I have driven on trips for up to 1 hour, while bumping, and immediately
checked the temperature of the amp and it was not even hot.

I also hooked up the amp to my friend's 2 12" Memphis HPO subs in a ported Memphis box and they hit harder than when they were hooked up to his Fosgate T10001bd amp (sorry, I didn't compare my 15" on the Fosgate).
His subs are dual 4-ohm voice coils. The coils of each sub was in parallel (i.e. 2-ohms) and the 2 subs were then hooked up in series (total = 4-ohms).


FINAL NOTE
The amp does not look like the one pictured on the top if this page.
The one pictured above (with the chrome caps) is the QX2 and QX4 series amps, which are the 2 channel and 4 channel amps.
The QX1-3000D (and I believe the QX1-2400D) look different and don't have chrome ends.
