Very Enjoyable, April 15, 2009

It was only recently that I discovered Miklos Rozsa as a classical music composer. His film scores are well known and won him 3 Oscars, but I didn't know he was such a talented composer of classical music. Both concertos (the Sinfonia Concertante is really a double concerto for cello and violin), are excellent examples of his remarkable talent. A most enjoyable listening! It is a pity that he seems to be largely ignored by the musical establishment!
