Beautifully balanced, sleek spoon. I've owned/used many styles from around the world and this is my favorite. <a close race with my spoon from Barcelona> Excellent for stirring any cocktail. Perfect for flawless, frictionless, Japanese stirring technique without having to bend the spoon. The only complaint/caveat is that the actual head of the spoon is a bit small and not as heavy as similar high end spoons. So "cracking" Kold Draft ice cubes is not easily done, also using it as a generic ¼oz measure won't do. <smaller than traditional> No muddling capability with opposite end. ..not than any respectable barman uses a bar spoon to muddle given the wonderful selection of muddlers/pestles available online. So four spoons <they walk off for some reason :)> and tens of thousands of Sazeracs, Manhattans, and Martinis later, I still recommend this specific style/brand in all of my bar staff trainings/panels. Say no to cheap red tipped bar spoons. A mainstay in my kit everywhere I go.

The spoon will go through your dishwasher without stain or spots and come out looking like it arrived in the mail each time. You'll find it's very heavy for its size, showing you that you've spent your money on a quality product (considering the cost of this spoon, it's a bit steep in price).

The spoon is long enough to fit the tallest of Collins glasses and has a spoon surface fat enough to pour layered pousse-cafe styled shoots in a breeze. Along with being easy to clean and matching other Rosle and WMF products well, this is a great bar essential.

This spoon is graceful and very functional in a bar setting. The weight is nice.

I actually prefer the round handle, as it aids in the smooth stirring of the cocktail. The twisted or flat barspoons require more dexterity for what I am trying to do.

I also like the small spoon head, it allows me to get objects in narrow jarheads, or to layer drinks in tight pousse cafes or shot glasses. Definitely a quality, original product.

I love this bar spoon. From the weight, to the finish, to the little crushing tip at the handle end it is a joy every time I stir a cocktail. It is a little pricey, but how many bar spoons are you going to purchase in your life? I never could get comfortable with the cheap spiral handled marquis de sade models frequently offered. I would recommend this to anyone looking to replace or add a bar spoon to their bar.

I love Rosle products, but I ordered the Henckels ice tea spoons J.A. Henckels Premiere Series Iced Tea Spoons, Set of 8 at the same time as the Rosle. Even though the Henckels are 2 inches shorter than the bar spoon, they are long enough to reach the bottom of the shaker, are better balanced, easier to manipulate with a flat shaft instead of Rosle's thin round rod, as well as much cheaper (8 for $20). So the Rosle is used for display!

Bought this spoon as I was looking for a matte finished one, and from the picture that looked to be the case. Unfortunately it's not, it's shiny. Cooking.com was kind enough to take it back.

I bought two, to have a well-stocked bar for a holiday cocktail party. I had a hard time deciding between these and the Alessi version, but cost won out. I generally feel that you get what you pay for, and it's true in this case. They're well made, sleek and shiny, have a beautiful weight, function well, and are a pleasure to use...and they're just spoons!

high quality product, very satisfied. only comment of concern is the spoon is not 100% stainless steel. the shaft handle is stainless but the spoon itself is chrome plated steel and not stainless. it appears to be well plated, hope it holds up.

It might say this on the product description but this thing is clearly made in China. Is there anything in the world that is not made there?

I never knew I needed this until I read some of the other reviews.
This is exactly what I wanted to make iced tea, lemonade and cocktails of all kinds.
Besides being extremely functional, it's amazingly beautiful to look at.
