This is the best Microwave we have ever owned. The last Sharp lasted 10 years but cost twice as much and did not come close to this one.

We tried an experiment with the Sensor setting and cooked a piece of Tilapia in the regular oven and the other filet in the Sharp 530 following the one screen help menu. The Microwave fish was tastier and more moist and cooked in 1/2 the time of the oven.

The sensor works wonders with reheating and defrosting and we find we are using it more than we ever used the older one.

I have recommended it to several co-workers and friends who are in the market for a great microwave at a super price.

The Sharp microwave is a fine product. It is easy to use, attractive in appearance, easy to clean, and usually well made. My particular experience is not typical. I had the misfortune to get one with a loose plate over the magnetron tube, and it buzzes when turned on. Contact with the company was competent, and required me to take it to a nearby city to have it looked at. I will do so when I can find someone to help me. Meantime, I have learned that the buzzing is not harmful, just irksome. I have used Sharp microwaves before and always found them excellent.

I loved my 12 year old Sharp R-530BW, but continual steam use (cleaning baby bottles in Medela Quick-Zip Steam bags) caused it to rust in the interior seams over a 4 year period (between my two children).

I'm now resolved to wipe down the interior after steaming, however, I hated giving up the microwave I loved.

Looked at other microwaves on the market...yuck...this one had everything I needed.

So I was really happy to see that Sharp had a newer model of it, and it does everything and more. This is a really excellent microwave. I use all the features regularly (baked potato, popcorn, frozen veggies, defrost ground meat, chicken, soups, etc.).

What can I say more than that, I loved it so much the first time, I bought another when it wore out. No better testimonial.

The Sharp R530EW microwave oven was purchased as a replacement for a 11 year old Sharp oven I purchased and installed in a cabinet with a Sharp built-in kit. Primary factors in the selection were performance of the old oven. The new oven is even better! Cost. I could purchase the new oven at less cost than replacing the thermotron tube in the old oven. Dimensions of the new oven. I could install the new oven in the same spot. The new oven is more attractive and its performance has exceeded by expectations.

I bought this as a replacement for the microwave that I've been using for the last 14 years. The oven fit perfectly in the mounting trim kit of the old oven. The new oven works just the same as the old one except it has 100 watts additonal power. A good buy for a proven microwave.

Excellent product. Easy to use. We had another Sharp microwave that lasted thirty years. Hope this one does too.

This choice followed much research to replace a former Sharp microwave which we loved. It offered the same sensor cooking that we had come to depend on as well as the ability to cook in large pyrex bakers with the 16 inch turntable. This microwave offers even more than the previous one did and we are extremely pleased with it.

I've only had it for about 2 months, but it works like a dream. I especially like the Rice function. Makes perfect rice if you follow the easy directions. I'd buy this microwave again.

My new Sharp microwave arrived exactly when expected and in perfect condition.
I hadn't realized how much microwaves have evolved. The sensor settings work beautifully and at 1200 watts everything cooks quickly.
So far performance has been flawless and the space inside is huge.
Hopefully this oven will be up to the standard people talked about in the reviews and last for years.

This unit seems to have some good features including a beverage center and other memorized options. so far I haven't used a lot of the features. It works as advertised.
