I'm 57 yrs old and I still mainly listen to the old comfortable classic 60's,70's music that I grew up with. Well, now I'm all shaken up! Finally! Here is a band "Walk Off The Earth",I've never heard of before, from Burlington Ontario, near Toronto where I grew up. They give me that 60's feelings all over again! I'm very impressed. Except for their excellent famous cover song "Somebody That I Used To Know", all the other songs on this CD are original. This band has elements of Reggae,Ska,60's harmonic Rock and Pop,country, rap, you name it,I even detected a bit of jazz. My favourite songs are; "Revo","Gang Of Rhythm","Red Hands","Summer Vibe" among others out of the eleven. Their YouTube videos of these are great too. But the sound on the CD is better. Everyone in WOTE does vocal parts, and they are multi- instrumentalists too. Well done!

I was lucky enough to catch Walk Off The Earth in southern California last fall and I was absolutely blown away. Their wide range of musical talent along with their amazing stage presence truly sets them aside from the majority of today's bands. The band's cover of the Gotye song "Somebody That I Used To know" is considered by most to be superior to the original version. WOTE is fun band with a very unique musical style and a wide range of vocals. The voice of Sarah Blackwood alone is worth purchasing this album. Do yourself a favor and buy this CD today. You will not be disappointed.

Walk off the Earth is on their way! Love their harmonies and the work they do. If you haven't checked out their music videos, you've got to. That's where the magic lies. They are on their way to greatness.

This group sounds like a current take on old Rusted Root. The song craft and musicality of this band are solid. They deserve much more attention than what they are getting. This is a great road trip album that will keep you singing along and tapping your steering wheel. The sound clips you listen to here on Amazon are an accurate representation of what the complete songs sound like, so don't worry about buying the album and being disappointed. That the band shares vocal duties and incorporates a variety of instruments and playing styles makes the album very diverse so none of the songs sound the same. It's the type of album you can listen to over and over again without tiring of it.

Revo: A nice intro. Upbeat, energetic and really sets you in the right mood for enjoying the rest of the album.

Red Hands: This is one of the best road tripping songs on the album. I dare you to listen to this song on the highway and not bob your head. Lyrics are great on this song as well.

Gang of Rythm: I'm not a Disney movie fan, but this song has a vibe that seems like it would be a perfect match for the Lion King or some other animated nature/animal show. It's not a cheesy or juvenile pop sounding song - it just sounds like something that would fit a movie scene of a group of critters walking through the jungle or mountains and grooving together. However, when I'm jamming to this tune, I also get images in my head of kicking it around a campfire with good friends and good beverages - simple pleasures in life... enjoying good company, good music and good times.

Speeches: Not a bad tune, but also not stellar. This is a nice appropriate break from the sound of the first three 3 songs. Kind of "Mumford and Sons" vibe.

I first heard of Walk Off The Earth from a posted link of "Someone That I Used To Know" on a cross country ski area site (WhiteGrass.com) in West Virginia. A beautiful place, by the way. Anyway, since then I have traveled along all the You Tube postings of WATE and found I was always left smiling, dancing, contemplating and wondering of more.

When R.E.V.O. came out I had to buy it. Never wondering if I would be disappointed; I was left even more amazed.

I think what holds me most of there music is that there is no one lead vocalist; like a great group of great talented friends gladly gathering all there grand talents together.

To quote from there song "Gang of Rhythm", "Let's gather round and sing a song", I think says a lot....

If ever, Walk Off The Earth, you are traveling through western Maryland you will always be welcome here.

The band Walk Off The Earth is composed of a group of extremely creative and multi-talented Canadian musicians. My teenaged daughter first introduced them to me about a year ago when their cover of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" became a Youtube sensation (I recommend that you check out the video b/c, imo, it's awesome - and a great introduction to the band!). Their Gotye cover is included on the R.E.V.O. CD along with 10 new songs. All of the songs are infectious and they will be "stuck in your head" all day long. Walk Off The Earth is a "real" band - they write most of their own songs, compose their own music, and play a wide variety of instruments - and use them in very creative ways. Their vocals are fantastic and their harmonies are heavenly. I know I'm gushing, but that's how excited I am about this band - they really are that good! I would list and discuss specific standout tracks but, for me, they are all standout tracks. R.E.V.O. is one of those rare albums where every song is a gem and it is very easy to listen to this album from beginning to end without skipping any of the songs. If pressed for a favorite, however, I would have to choose "Summer Vibe" at this time because, for me, it is the quintessential summertime feel good song (check out the video version if you also want to hear the ocean waves in the background - it's a brilliant piece of work, imo). R.E.V.O. is currently my favorite new album and WOTE, as they are also known, is my favorite current band. I listen to a lot of music and I haven't heard anything this good in a long time. So do yourself a favor and spend that $10 on R.E.V.O - I think you will be very happy that you did.
