A Tasty Overview, January 4, 2011
I've always been intrigued and fascinated by ASF, but was never a hardcore fan or a major collector of their work. The band's combination of electronica, ambient noise, samples, new wave, and rock `n' roll -- all delivered with Gothic overtones -- can be a bit much for the average person to take in more than small doses, but somehow seems perfectly presented in this two-disc collection, which compiles 28 tracks that first saw light on 12" singles (exclusive tracks, remixes, and `hits' are all included). In other words: a perfect introductory package for new listeners and an essential purchase for the faithful.
