Why am I the only one reviewing this?, January 3, 2002
This review is from: R.L. Stine Goosebumps: Escape From Horrorland (CD-ROM)
This game is one of the first computer games I started and actually finished, and since then i really think I've been spoiled. The graphics in Goosebumps: Escape From Horrorland are the best ever in a game. Ever. Why? because they use real actors! That's right, no cheesy CGI characters in this one, only real people, which really adds to the realism of the game. The gameplay on this one is like Myst, point and click, so your exploring options are rather limited, although compared to Myst they are huge. In fact, this game, in my mind, far surpasses Myst. It's not boring, it's actually very exiting. You fight plenty of monsters, including a mummy, a werewolf, and the Horrorland goblins. Jeff Goldblum, that familiar actor who played in Jurassic Park 1 and 2 plays Dracula. The plot is interesting, and this game has a creepy but at the same time fun atmosphere to it, which is very hard to come by nowadays. Basically, Goosebumps: Escape From Horrorland, isn't one of your average computer games.

Escape from Horrorland, November 13, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: R.L. Stine Goosebumps: Escape From Horrorland (CD-ROM)
"Horrorland may seem like a scary, foreboding place...because it is!" That's what the supposed creator of horrorland, Madison Storm, says about his park. And it's true! This game is scary, but not too scary and loads of fun to play! The puzzles are challenging, and the graphics are great. It is in second person, where you are part of the game. As you travel around horrorland, going to places like Vampire Village, Horrorland Plaza, Valley of the Lost Kings, and Werewolf village, you'll battle the Werewolf, Mummy, and Dracula. You'll also interact with Lizzie, Luke, and Clay, the kids who have been whisked back to Horrorland in the middle of the night. You might get stuck on some of the puzzles, because they're tough, but not quite too hard. The only thing I don't like about this game is that the monsters are soooo realistic. This might seem like a good thing, but sometimes it's really creepy. I'm ten years old, have had the game for six years and I'm still scared of the Mummy! I'm a chicken, so don't think it's that bad! I would still buy this game. It's worth every penny!

Great Game, April 8, 2002
This review is from: R.L. Stine Goosebumps: Escape From Horrorland (CD-ROM)
Well, when I got this game I thought it would be something for my spare time... something for "little kids". When I played it, I got addicted. Some of the stuff is actually pretty creepy and at times confusing -- not what I expected. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, not to mention keeping your brain working. I think this game is really entertaining and I enjoy it a lot.. I would recommend it to many people.
