4.0 out of 5 stars No venni vetti vecci but still really good.
I dont know why everyone stopped likeing ja because of 50. Ja was flowing tighter than a 5 year old before 50 was even on the map. I like ja and 50, and i listen to both.Because one person dosent like another dosent mean everyone else needs to start talkin sh*t. So what if ja flows about p*ssy its because he gets it. So F*c* all you hater's, ja is still one of the dopest...

1.0 out of 5 stars Ja Rule remains off his ball...what the hell man
I am not much of a Ja Rule fan but Venni Vetti Vecci was a tyte CD. After that he just fell off his game.

What made is worse is that he missed with calling with making good rhymes to becoming an R&B singer. So basically he would rather make more money doing something he sucks at than keeping the respect of his fans with his real style? LOL

5.0 out of 5 stars Ja Rule- R.U.L.E., November 9, 2004
This review is from: R.U.L.E. (Audio CD)
Ja Rule's sixth album is "R.U.L.E." (2004). To say Ja Rule has been through some controversy over the last couple of years would be an understatement. It's also a well known story that does not need to be told again. Ja Rule gets back to the basics with this latest offering, for him that means making records that sell, and I believe this one will. Rule shows he is still hungry on "The Last of the Mohicans", while Black Child delivers an on point chorus. R Kelly and Ashanti hook up with Ja Rule on the commercial single and chart hit "Wonderful". The albums other single which features established MC's Jadakiss and Fat Joe is the blazing hot "New York" which has deservingly blown up. Rule sings well on the smooth laidback "Manuel". First track I have no caring for is "Get It Started" feat. Ciara. The Inc's newest member, R & B singer Lloyd drops in for "Caught Up" a semi-decent track which may be more appreciated by R & B fans. Things pick up again with the standout "Gun Talk", feeling the lyrics and beat to this cut. Ja Rule then hooks up with Giselle on "Never Thought", a decent collaboration. Ja Rule, Trick Daddy and Chink Santana pay tribute to those who have died on the impressive "Life Goes On". "Where I'm From" is an excellent track, Ja Rule goes deep talking about the ghetto, poverty, prison and death, while Lloyd provides a memorable chorus. The albums closer and longest track is the 8 minute "Passion", a track where Rule reflects on the events of the past year, delivering a powerful chorus while finishing his track by doing shout outs and giving thanks. Ja Rule has succeeded in delivering a solid album, following the formula of some of his early albums, I find this album to be step up from his past commercial releases (Pain is Love, Rule 3:36, Last Temptation). My favourite tracks are "New York", "Gun Talk" and "Where I'm from". By an artist's sixth album people should know what they feel about his work, I recommend "R.U.L.E" to those who appreciate his music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps Getting Better And Better..., November 12, 2004
This review is from: R.U.L.E. (Audio CD)
This is the best Cd that Ja Rule has come out with in his whole career. I noticed his growth within the lyrics of the songs.
I also noticed that he has turned to God, and talks about him more than he ever has on this CD.
The songs are HOT no doubt.

1.The INC Intro - (not rated)
2.Last of the Mohicans - 3/5
3.Wonderful - 4/5
4.What's My Name - 5/5 ( "J A R U L E" thats all i have to say about this one. its a hot track)
5.New York - 5/5 (Jadakiss and FatJoe really made this song hot, the 3 diffrent styles is what makes it so good)
6.Stripping Game (Skit)(not rated)
7.The Manual - 5/5 (this song has a catchy course that just make a person want to dance. the lyrics are good too)
8.Get It Started (feat) Claudette Ortiz 4/5
9.R.U.L.E. - 5/5 ("Nobody does it like me..." that is exactly true)
10.True Story (Skit) (not rated)
11.Caught Up - 5/5 (Lloyd and Alexi really lay it down on this track, makein the course catchy, combined with Ja's rapping style I can really see this being the next single)
12.Gun Talk 3/5
13.Never Thought 5/5 (This song feat. Ashanti. the lyrics are off the chains too)
14.Life Goes on 4/5 (kind of reminds me of R. Kellys song "I Wish" (remix))
15.Weed (Skit) 1:55 (not rated)
16.Where I'm from 5:11 - 5/5 (Lloyd and Ja is great together. I love the way Ja raps slow to the beat)
17.Bout My Business 3:38 - 2/5 (Black Child and Cadillac Tah really makes this song sound tacky, really tacky.)
18.Passion 8:37 - 10/5 (this has to be the best song on the CD. this song is very personal. I just cant explain the feeling I have when I listen to this song. the lyrics are too deep)

so if you are reading this and you are thinking about buying this CD, you really should. This wont be a waste of your money because its worth every cent. TRUST ME

5.0 out of 5 stars Ja Still The RULE, November 9, 2004
By
This review is from: R.U.L.E. (Audio CD)
First and foremost, I'll admit just one year ago I hated Ja because of 50 Cent, that is until 50's rhymes get weaker and more pathetic from the G-Unit album to present day (especially his most recent diss tracks). With 50 losing his throne to Usher as the hottest artist of the year, this gave Ja a chance to improve his rhymes, which he did. I didn't think Ja could top Pain is Love, but I was hella wrong. R.U.L.E. is by far his best album, seriously. Just listening to the first 2 tracks made this record worth buying. My highlights for R.U.L.E. are; "Wonderful", "What's My Name", "New York", "The Manual", "Get It Started", "Life Goes On", and "Passion". Unless you still a hardcore fan of 50, get over your hater-self and cop this disc, you'll be taken back to the days of 2001-02 when you yourself was a Ja groupie.

5.0 out of 5 stars 10 years later Ja is still makin hot tracks, March 4, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: R.U.L.E. (Audio CD)
Ja came back strong to bring us his 6th album. This is his best album since VVV. Its probably the most complete album he's made. It talks about what he's been through the past few years, has some club songs (though not very good), some gangsta tracks, etc..

2: Last of the Mohicans (9.5/10) - Great hard track. He sounds hungry again on this one. Basically telling us that he's here to stay.
3: Wonderful (9/10) - Wonderful song featuring Ashanti and R. Kelly.. i wish Ja rapped a little more on this one.
4: What's My Name (6/10) - This one sounds like its for the club but i'm not really feelin it.
5: New York (9/10) - 2nd Single.. Ja, fat joe and jadakiss reppin NY on this hot beat.
7: The Manual (8.5/10) - Thug luvin' at its finest.
8: Get It Started (4/10) - I think Ja should stop trying to make club songs. Worst song on the album... He shoulda replaced this for Too Long or Better Days, which didn't make it onto the album.
9: R.U.L.E. (7/10) - Decent beat and lyrics. Only 2 verses.
11: Caught Up (9/10) - His 3rd single featuring Lloyd.
12: Gun Talk (10/10) - Probably my favorite track on this album. Gotta love it when Ja spits fire. Black Child has a nice verse too. The chorus is stunning with him using 4 different guns.
13: Never Thought (9.5/10) - Perfect production... Great lyrics, great chorus. This could be his next single if he released it.
14: Life Goes On (10/10) - I just can't stop listening to it. Very catchy hook even though Ja is singing. Chink Santana made an awesome beat.
15: (Skit) - funny sh*t by Big Remo
16: Where I'm From (8/10) - Lloyd really shines on this one. Ja rappin about the hood.
17: Bout My business (8.5/10) - Gangsta sh*t. Features Black Child and Caddy. Ja has another great verse (who said he can't rap?)
18: Passion (8/10) - Best beat on the album. Too bad Ja SINGS bout what he's gone through the past few years. I like the shout outs at the end though. Could have been the perfect ending to his retirement album.

Hate him all you want but he still makes good music. I only skip 2 tracks out of 14 (excluding skits) when I listen to it. I'm looking foward to his next (last) album. Supposedly he will turn into "Loki" after that and release another album shortly after Ja's last. Keep ya head up Murder Inc. and keep bringing us the good music.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ja, I'm your fan again, February 22, 2005
This review is from: R.U.L.E. (Audio CD)
Well Ja proved 50 cent wrong when he did this album and came out with the banging single "New York". 50 cent claimed that hed put murder inc out of business for good and i dont understand why 50 cent is calling Ja Rule a bubblegum rapper. look at what everyone else and 50 cent. you dont think call "Candy Shop" is bubblegum music? when ja left the game, 50 cent took his thrown and became ja rule. if he was to call Ja Rule bubblegum, then how about Lloyd Banks's "Karma". or what about Lil Jon's "Lovers and Friends"? and what about that retard nelly with all his bubblegum music? i think everyone in the rap game is too stupid to point out sumone and then think about what music genre they are making. anyways about the album, its was worth my money. i first only bought it because it came with the 2 months free trial for Xbox Live. but when i heard the first track "Last of the Mohicans" i was compltely blown away with this. i was like, Ja is back on the charts, and 50 better watch out cuz Ja is coming back to take his thrown. my favorite tracks on this album are New York and Last of the Mohicans.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Comeback, November 11, 2004
This review is from: R.U.L.E. (Audio CD)
Everyone can now like Ja Rule again! LOL! Now that the feud is over, Ja can finally get back to what he does best....using his creativity on the tracks. IMO, Blood In My Eye were all pushed to get @ 50. That's why I think many people didnt not like it cause thats not his style @ all. There are many featured artists, which I like about him. He can callaborate with almost anyone. . "Wonderful", "Caught Up", & "Passion" are my favorites on here. I think that this will be a banga for months to come.
