5.0 out of 5 stars Very Funny and sort of sad, July 24, 2001
By A Customer
I stumbled on this movie at the video store. I don't remember it coming out, but the clerk recommended it. The movie was great, and I'm not even in the film business.

It's the story of a guy trying to make a film to win Sundance. It's sort of a mockumentary. The guy's interactions with real life film people are really funny.

This should be seen by anyone who wants to make a film.

5.0 out of 5 stars Profoundly Hilarious, August 27, 2001
Man, the fact that a movie like this does not find a bigger audience is a real travesty. With the slop that's coming out of Hollywood and the "Indie" scene, this movie is a must see. I saw some good reviews for it in the New York Times and the Village Voice, but I never got a chance to see it during it's brief one week run in the theaters. Biting yet entertaining - whimsical yet informative, this quasi-documentary truly is a breath of fresh air in this suffocating movie environment we the viewer find ourselves in. I know this is corny but...If you care at all about the future of film, you might want to check this film out. Sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars FUNNIER THAN SPINAL TAP & BEST IN SHOW !!!, August 1, 2001

Has anyone heard of this movie...I hadn't, until a type-o "r2pc".

I ordered the DVD. This is a seriously cool film and pretty funny. Its nice to see indi stuff mocking indi stuff. So, it kind of works both ways...if you think indi's overrated, its nice to see it mocked. But if you are a true indi afficiando...this movie is quie refreshing.

As an aside, the acting is pretty top notch. I feel like I'm in on the ground floor. You must see this movie.
