RAM Zinc Coated U-Bolt Base with 1" BallThe RAM motorcycle handlebar base contains a 1" rubber ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The zinc coated metal u-bolt accommodates rails in diameter from 0.5" to 1.25" in diameter. The base also includes black cover caps to be placed over the exposed ends of the u-bolt. U-Bolt Dimensions:Accommodates rails from 0.5" to 1.25" in diameter. Material: Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Ball Size: 1" Rubber Ball "B" Size

This product performs as it should. My only complaint is that you must use an open end wrench due to the lack of clearance between the post and the nuts.

I am using the RAM Universal Finger Grip Holder with RAM's mounting hardware to hold an iPhone 4G on street bike handle bars including the RAM Mount with U bolt. It grips the phone well and I have not fear of it falling out. I do have phone cover and used the RAM supplied rubber finger covers. The RAM products are well made and seem very durable. Only problem found is the handlebar mount is hard ABS type plastic and will spin on the bar. I used a strip of rubber under it and that helped I am very satisfied.
