Yes, it is a quality product from end to end. Nice and sturdy and mostly all metal parts, except the GPS cradle itself, which seems to be a kind of high impact, fiber reinforced plastic.
I sort of wish that the arm didn't telescope out so far from the handlebar mounting base, however the arm articulation is rather nice for putting it exactly where it is easiest to clearly see when riding. Ram makes good stuff. Much sturdier and easier to use than the Garmin brackets.

I installed this on my snowmobile and wasn't sure if it could take the bumps. It is working perfectly and very flexible for mounting. I would highly recommend this mounting kit for your snowmobile.

I bought this item to mount a Garmin Rino 530HCx on my Quad. I ride some pretty rough trails and even hit a few jumps and the RAM mount held firm! I made one minor enhancement (though not necessary) I glued some very thin strips of rubber into the cradle to help "pad" the device from getting "cradle rash" from all of the bouncing around! Great product! Amazon had the best price!

I wanted to carry my Garmin Rino GPS with me while I rode my dual sport motorcycle. I looked into Ram mounts and finally bought one. It was very easy to mount to the 7/8" handle bar. The rubber balls on the ends of the mount allowed me to orient the mount so I could easily read the GPS while I was riding. I recently rode in an offroad race and the Ram mount with the Garmin attached never missed a beat. I even laid the bike down and the mount never moved. When I don't need my GPS, I unsrew the knob and take off the riser and part that attaches to the GPS but leave on the bracket that attaches to the handle bars. That feature makes it very user friendly. Highly recommended.

I used to own the Garmin mount for the Rino and use it in my BMW motorcycle, the Garmin mount broke after 2 years because of the motorcycle vibration, I am much happier with the RAM mount because the RAM mount is much more resistant and is very flexible so it can adapt to different positions vs the Garmin mount holder which is fixed to one position. Price wise they are about the same.
