Like most any product made by Ram-Mount, this GPS mount is rock solid. This should have been the first mount I used, but it wasn't. The quality is perfect and no vibration or bumps can dislodge or shake it out of alignment once you have it securely fixed into place and tightened. I use this mount to hold my waterproof Garmin nuvi 550 GPS on my 08 Yamaha Majesty.

Very well made GPS mount for a bicycle. Holds the GPS (Garmin Nuvi 500) securely, fits well on the handlebars, very adjustable. Great for geocaching while riding on bike trails.

I installed this on the roll cage of my Yamaha Rhino. I was using a Garmin suction cup mount but it tended to come loose due to the vibration and jarring when driving the Rhino off road, or even on rough roads. I decided to try this mount instead, Unfortunately even the largest U-bolt was too small for the roll cage tubing so I had to clamp it to one of the hand holds, above the front windshield area. Although, it is not where I hoped to mount it, that is actually not a bad location.

Pros:
* Easy to mount. The whole process took about 5 minutes.
* Holds the GPS securely, even under rough and bouncy conditions.
* Easy to adjust to just the right angle.
* GPS firmly locks to the holder and will not pop out like with some other holders.

Cons:
* As stated before, I wish they had configured this to mount to larger tubing using the supplied hardware. However, this is sold as a motorcycle handlebar mount, not an ATV/UTV mount, so I guess I shouldn't complain.
* It is hard to clamp the GPS onto the mount with a 12v DC power cable already attached. I've learn the hard way, that to avoid damaging the USB connector you should attach the cable after mounting the unit. In the location I have this mounted, this is kind of a pain.

...to install, it's lightweight and robust. One thing I don't particularily care for though, once the mount is attached to a motorcycle handlebar, there is hardly any room to attach the cord to the GPS, requiring you to losen the swivel screw so the unit can be turned in order to see what you're doing.

Bought this for our Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Trike-The rubber coating on the ball and socket type clamp makes
this unit very, very strong and vibration proof. We road all last summer through Michigan and never had one
problem with it. We would wish all items were made as well as the Ram Mount. You won't be sorry for the purchase.

Pros:
1. Holds great -- to the handlebar, the position you set it in, and the GPS.
2. Solid construction.
Cons:
1. Power cable must be plugged and unplugged while the GPS is in the holder, and this is made rather difficult by the plastic ridge that is on the back of the holder.
2. The plastic insert that goes on the bottom of the u-bolt is not the right shape for a 1" handlebar. I trimmed mine with a knife to get a better fit.

Overall, very good.

Works like a charm! Initially rotated around handle bars, but after re-securing it and tightening further it works! A little snug fit for the DC power cord, but feel that this is "good thing." Was advised on a trip to remove the "clothes" pin clip from base since this is frequently stolen off motorcycles. Was on some rough surface roads and feared losing the Garmin...Not to worry though...it's perfect! Great Product...

I looked at several mounts for my motorcycle before spending a little more money for the RAM. I'm glad I did. This is definately a case for "you get what you pay for". I got this for the Garmin Nuvi 550. Happy Riding!

This product worked great on my motorcycle. It holds the GPS securely and is easy to adjust. I like that it holds the GPS on the handlebars where it is easy to reach and see. I definitely recommend this product to others.

The RAM mount for my Garmin was easy to assemble and mount on my motorcycle handlebar. After a 3 day motorcycle ride it was still as secure as the day I left. Position adjustment was easy and it stayed where I put it (no slippage). Very satisified with the ease of ordering and quick delivery.
