After the first all-plastic windshield mount (by Garmin) for my 60CSx broke, I purchased this RAM unit as a replacement.
This product is well built, heavier, and has a sturdy suction device.
The Garmin unit used a thin plastic lever to generate the suction, and it inevitably broke. This will not happen with the RAM system.
Where the other unit was difficult to adjust to suit my viewing, this one is easy.
Where the other device allowed vibration and jiggling of the GPS while driving, this one keeps the GPS completely still.
I highly recommend the RAM system.

I bought this to use on my boat and it is rock solid. Even under some really rough conditions at high speed the mount has never come off or creeped. It's also extremely easy to mount, adjust and remove. Much better than any other mount I have purchased

I recently purchased this after having my Garmin GPS60csx for about a year. Like I said above it is of SOLID construction made in the USA. It fits perfectly and just rests in the cradle. I drove over some good bumps and tight turns and it stays in place just fine. The only reason for the 4-star rating instead of 5 is that is lacked instructions, although a nice full color brochure of all RAM products was included.

There are 4 screws and 2 bolts you need to screw in with a Phillips screwdriver which is pretty straight forward, however like I said before a simple instruction sheet would be nice. It is easily adjustable so you can get just the right angle. I highly recommend it for anyone who has this model GPS and would like to get additional usage in your vehicle.

Perfect fixation on the windshield and permits you to operate the GPS without holding it from the back.

Works great, just a bit large and clunky.
It holds well to my windshield over all kinds of terrain and in all kinds of weather.
Easy to position.

Upon receipt of the unit, the quality of the tooling was poor. The holes were not drilled through completely. The suction cup mount works poorly as well and does not stay attached to the mounting surface.

I bought one of Garmin's window mounts for my 60CSx. The GPS is awesome, but the mount is a total POS. So after wasting money on it and another cheapie from eBay, I finally broke down and bought the RAM Mount. Wow, this thing kicks butt! The suction cup could probably hold a small (or large) child, and the rest of the system is rock solid as well. Sure, it's heavier and a bit more clunky than Garmin's mount, but you won't find a more secure mount for your GPS.

I only wish I'd had the sense to buy this right away rather than blowing all that dough on inferior mounts.

This mount works as well as the others state in their reviews. It is well built and stays put. Don't bother trying any other windshield mount. I don't see how you could get a better one.

It's a solidly built mount but it's a little bit of a pain removing the GPS from the cradle. The quality is well worth the money though.

I ordered this product the RAM Mounting System for my new Garmin handheld GPS. It is very sturdy and easy to mount in my vehicle. It did not come with instructions to put it together but I easily figured how to put in together. My gps fits great in it and it doesn't move any while driving. The only complaint I have is that one of the holes on the mounting unit was not drilled through so I could only put one of the screws with the lock nut in. That is why I only gave it 4 stars. I am going to fix this myself though I recommend if any body else gets one like that they should send it back if you don't have the proper equipment to fix the problem. All in all good product for the price and fast shipping.
