I first read this book when I was about 8 years old in 1985 and now, 21 years later, it still stands out as one of the first books to get me excited about reading! The characters in this book are so unique, yet so familiar, that you find yourself drifting into Ramona's world, and finding it hard to come back to reality. I suggest this book to anyone who has a daughter about 6 to 13 years old, becuase she WILL love it! I suggest it to adults as well because it's a story that really takes you back to a simpler time, when the biggest concern in your life was how to be a third grader! Other all time favorites of mine are "Beezus and Ramona" and "Ramona the Brave". Truely priceless!!!

I read the Ramona books over and over when I was a kid and I still have a fondness for them. Ramona was a very relatable character to me during the age I was into the series and I'd recommend them to any little girl.
