When you recieve this plane it's possible the motor stick will be loose from the firewall..BOTH of mine came that way. It's because the wieght of the motor and how they are abused in shipment. DO NOT FEAR..This is easily repaired with epoxy, no need to send it back. Remove the cowl. Remove one screw on the motor gear box and slid it off the motor stick. Add the epoxy to...

Add the epoxy to the stick, line it up and put it back in place. Add epoxy a bamboo skewer and slide it into the foam all way through beneath the motor stick to hold it up. You can also glue a horse shoe shape thin ply to the fire wall but running under the stick for a brace. The foam is weak there due to the air hole moulded in. It leaves thin foam beneath the stick. Cut the skewer off smooth and the cowl should hide the ends. The skewer can be short enough to push just beneath the surface. Let the epoxy cure over night and it's FIXED.If it is not broken in shipment a hard landing can damage it there so I recommend this fix as a modification to prevent future damage. I air brushed mine a bright yellow using latex paint..Common Super glue WILL damage the foam..I had to make a repair from testing it. Save the foam packing for making repairs. To repair holes square them and Hot glue a piece of the foam removed from the packing box into the damaged area. Trim to shape and gently sand smooth..To assemble,,I DID NOT use the glue that came in the box because I could not read the instructions. I have faith in Epoxy so that is what was used..I like the plane very much.. I believe you will too..I did put clear packing tape on the wings, tail and fuselage.. Packing tape along the leading edge will make the wing last longer..Packing tape UNDER the wing running from end to end makes it stronger.I also covered the leading edges of the tail section with clear packing tape. Remember to check for balance after all modifications. It should balance slightly nose down at the spar..Anything you do to a model can change the balance. Tail heavy planes are a no no.. most of them fly only once..slightly nose heavy is better but a good balance is best..I love the feel of the Lanyu transmitter. The reciever looks good too. NOW!!! where can we buy those radio's as a stand alone system? I have never had a problem with FM 27 mhz systems.. I have a HZ Phantom on FM 27.195 MHz and the Cessna on 27.195 FM MHz does NOT interfere with the HZ Plane.. strange, but true. Must be the way they transmit. I am hoping to find another reciever that will work with this transmitter. I could make flight packs for other planes..This may be the cure for the radio failure in my HZ Phantom which has non replaceable servo's. It seems that Hobby Zone air planes have transmitters that are not compatable with other brand of recievers and recievers that may not work with other 27 Mhz Fm transmitters. For that reason I may no longer buy Hobby Zone planes. I would like to have one transmitter that works with all my 27 FM Mhz recievers..So far I think this deal is the best on the net, if the radio system works out. Where else can you get a fully 4 channel RC plane for under 100 bucks? We shall talk more about this plane on one of the RCgroups..Check out Wattflier too..

This definately puts me off purchasing things on line.

Great plane for beginners or intermediate flyers. Works great outdoors even in a little wind. Comes with everthing you need to fly. Has all 4 channels rudder, aileron, throttle, elevator which is great for the price.

This is the 3rd time I flew it and what a ball I had. You need to know how to fly these planes. Invest in a simulator. First time I flew I did the basic mistakes and crashed within 5 seconds. Second time I got it up and flying but hard to control, got it down with no damage. I brought it home tweeked it. Flew today the 3 rd time, I had so much fun I'm looking for a second battery. These planes you have to keep practicing. They are beginner planes. You need to know the basic fundamentals of R/C airplanes.. At first I was discourage, but after practicing and continue to learn you will get it. Enjoy.

Well dont listen to that guy that said its junk and it wont fly cause this plane most deffinatly will fly and it flys pretty good to. If you dont know how to fly then dont try and fly it cause you will fly for a few seconds then you'll crash it. This plane is not for begginers train on a sim first and then fly this plane. i broke the motor mount on the plane before i even flew it i just hot glued it and zip tied it and it flew like a new plane cant believe that worked but it worked like a charm. flying this plane was very easy i have never flown before but i practiced on a simulator for a month before going with the real thing. the plane flew perfect with a makeshift motormount and the tail was glued on a slight bit crooked and still flew very stable even upside down!

I love it as it is my first attempt of flying...The flight body is so strong that I am able to fly it with some minor repairs even after it got crashed...

but there are few defects also in this product...the transmitter is not so good, the explanation provided on the transmitter operation in the manual is erroneous at some places & also not so clear...you may have to do some trial & errors before getting the final output...
Also my battery pack got burned automatically during the flight...

I have bought several phantom firebirds from horizon hobby (don't recommend these), a supercub lp from horizon hobby (highly recommend this and it costs $170.00), a yak from parkflyers ($190.00 and crashed right away).

This is the best VALUE of the lot but is not the most fun to fly (the supercub is much more fun).

1) This is more durable than most planes. It handled three crashes with minimal damage.
2) The "arm" button to access the throttle is a unique and great feature.
3) It is easy to transport and quite solid.
4) It is easy to put together.

The main downside: It's very slow and the flight time is short.

Update: I cut out a bit of the foam at the back of the battery box and inserted a 11.1 volt 2200mah lipo battery (battery costs around $23.00 and charger ranges from $15.00-$100.00). The proprietary connection was easy to cut off the old battery and now I LOVE this plane. It is the most reliable and sturdy (= fun) of all my planes and so far the adaptations are working well.

Bought this for my nehpew to learn on and for 80 buck figured why not. He flew my sim a couple times and then i put it together.

1. Motor mount glue had broke loose like the review above
2. Check switch for the ailerons on the controller. mine was reveresed so left woudl be right and right would be left
3. make sure when you adjusting all the controls that everyting is straight with the trim centered on all 3 axis

my nephew has nose dived this thing 5 times and i've gone through 9 props and i've replaced nothing else. nothing has broke and the only things i've had to do is tweak with the motor mount after the nose dives...

spare parts are cheap

5 bucks for a motor, 5 bucks for esc..

i've flown it and it'll do inverted flight, barrel rolls, rolls

great little plane for 80 bucks on [...]
