Accentuate the diminutive with RCA's charming, 14-inch 14F400T, whose TruFlat picture tube conveys your seriousness about video quality while reducing peripheral screen reflections and glare by over 60 percent relative to standard CRT sets. The screen also offers a wider effective viewing area than most, whether you're catching news from the kitchen sink, curled up in bed for late-night shows, or lounging on the couch with the remote.

The set offers monaural NTSC tuning and stereo performance from stereo inputs via the set's rear panel from sources such as a DVD player, DVR, VCR, or camcorder. An RF input accommodates older cable boxes and VCRs.

Dynamic BlackStretch Circuitry heightens image contrast to bring your dorm or apartment that much closer to home-theater quality, and independent electronic bass and treble controls help you tailor the sound to your preference. The set will simulate surround sound from stereo sources, and you can also call up preset audio modes such as Speech, Theatre, Music, Personal (a custom setting).

Other features include auto channel search, V-Chip parental controls, and a 120-minute programmable sleep timer to save power when you call it a night in front of the tube.

Have owned tv for almost 6 months. Has spent over 3 months in repair shop. RCA rep, Thomson Electronic will not refund. They are now considering replacing it, but have not yet made a decision (after two weeks). I don't think I will ever own another RCA product that is covered by Thomson. Nor do I think I will ever pick this up from the repair shop. It was put in the guest room and actually used only 3 times.

I have never heard of Thompson, because my unit has performed flawlessly for almost a year. The picture quality is excellent, just an additional RCA product to add to the list of tv's, stereos, that I've owned over the years.
