There are at least 2 versions of GE Superadio 3 boards - the first with a discrete transistor FM front end, the newer ones with an integrated circuit front end. Both have comparable FM performance. RCA appears to have bought the design and produced the second version of the board. Aside from cosmetic differences related to the RCA vs. GE logo, there is no difference. However, all buyers of this radio need to beware - GE introduced a defective tuning potentiometer to the design, and this carried over to the RCA models. It results in extremely unstable tuning, and is a real problem to replace with a more stable potentiometer.

I don't know. I've had my Superadio for several years and the speaker still works.
