4.0 out of 5 stars Good product...good price!
This antenna works like a charm, and it's an excellent value for the price. There is a lot of interference in this area, but I've been enjoying a nice clear picture. It brings in the local VHF and large UHF stations quite clearly. The smaller UHF stations come in a bit fuzzy or only at certain times of day, but this antenna does a good job of boosting the signal...

1.0 out of 5 stars Too directional dependent
This antenna is too directional dependent. Almost always I have to re-adjust its orientation to obtain better reception on any one channel. In addition, if you live in an apartment very close to or surrounded by adjacent apartment blocks, forget about this antenna. Given most of the previous reviews, it will probably work okay if you live in small buildings.

This antenna works like a charm, and it's an excellent value for the price. There is a lot of interference in this area, but I've been enjoying a nice clear picture. This is quite easy to hook up, too. It comes with a coax to screw down adapter, so it should fit any TV right out of the box without requiring any additional trips to Radio Shack. A big plus in my book.

I like the modern appearance of the antenna. However, with both of the "rabbit ears" on the same end of the TV it seem kind of off balance. Since it's not fixed to the top of the TV set, it ends up on the floor a lot. It also gets moved from its optimal position, so you have to reposition it from time to time. Not a big deal...just an observation.

For the price, I don't see how you could do better than this one.

I am able to tune in channels that were previously quite impossible here, with this little antenna!! The antenna on the roof of this building is completely useless, at best. I am quite impressed and pleasantly surprised by the performance of this antenna that put only a tiny dent in my pocket!

I was quite amazed at the reception this little antenna provides. I can pick up so many more channels than I've ever been able to pick up before. It was very simple to hook up, and doesn't look nearly as hideous as most other sets of "rabbit ears" that are out there. For the price, you just can't beat this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars everything I wanted in an antenna, November 28, 2001
This review is from: RCA ANT1020 Universal Indoor Antenna (Electronics)
I am very impressed by this antenna. I live in a three-story college dorm in a region surrounded by mountains, and it is difficult to get good TV reception with an antenna (my friends have tried two different antennae with limited luck). This antenna performs wonderfully despite the surroundings. It picks up all of the channels I want very clearly, plus some extra channels I wasn't expecting to get. I recommend this product, especially to college students who want TV without a monthly cable bill.

2.0 out of 5 stars Only slightly better than aluminum foil..., March 12, 2002

I had aluminum foil attached via coaxial cable to my T.V. before I purchased this antenna. After hooking the antenna up, I noticed only marginal improvements. Also, if you want to change between lesser reception channels, you have to completely reposition the antenna. I would return it, but I would get barely half of what I paid for it, since I would still have to pay for return shipping as well as the original shipping cost.

5.0 out of 5 stars Results for peanuts, July 19, 2008

First off, I don't know much about antennas. I already have cable, so this is just a backup and a free way to pull in HD content.

My home is located 20-25 miles from the broadcasters in Kansas City and online recommendations indicated I should get an outdoor mast antenna. I didn't want to spend that kind of money, time, or poke anymore holes in my house. So I thought I would try out a cheap indoor version. I was totally surprised!

This antenna acquired every signal that I could possibly tune in. All the new digital channels and of course a slew of old analog ones. Some analog channels had a little bit of snow (I did not adjust or move the antenna), but I don't care because the digital channels all come in clear!

Now, I am near the top of the hill and there are only trees and homes obstructing my line-of-sight to the broadcasters, but using a cheap unamplified rabbit-ear antenna was all I needed. Maybe I am far enough out so that I don't get reflections or crosstalk, but by my experience that works fine for an outer suburb.

no more than the rabbit ears that came with the television. As long as you can try it and then return it, worth a try based on others' reviews where they did have good luck with this antenna. Didn't work for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars no antenna will work in all locations, March 1, 2008
This review is from: RCA ANT1020 Universal Indoor Antenna (Electronics)
I paid $11 for this antenna about 2 years ago. I also have 2 others, one about $25 and one about $40 in two other rooms. None of the three work in all 3 rooms, or even in from different spots in their respective rooms. I get great reception--both digital and regular in my bedroom with this "snail" as I call it. However, if you even breathe on it, it falls over due to the fact that all the weight is on one end (or if you catch your hair on it, it is light enough that you drag it off every time you walk past). If it had a heavier base, I would give it 4 stars.
