I tried one of these because it was more discreet than rabbit ears. I actually got much better reception with a homemade antenna that cost me $1 to make, than I did with this one. If you live in a metro area, this will probably work ok, but if you are more than 15 miles from the broadcast location, you will need something better. Sorry, but this antenna was totally worthless to me.

This antenna performed equal to a 10 year old VHF UHF antenna which is directional in design. I purchased the RCA for it's multi-directional capability. I have a good geographical position without buildings or obstructions at an elevation about equal to nearby TV station broadcasting sites. I receive about 26 different channels depending on atmospheric conditions. The antenna is very sensitive to location in the second floor location I have it mounted in and moving it a foot or two can make a difference in reception. Surprisingly I sometimes have more trouble in holding reception on stations less than 20 miles away then I do the one or two I receive from a distance of 58 miles.

There are a lot of variables that effect reception and if you can use a directional antenna and don't mind fussing with it I believe in most cases that would be a better choice. An outdoor roof mounted antenna is always superior to an indoor antenna.

Not very happy with item. Hooked up to my TIVO HD XL Premier and could not get many channels at all.

I used to have a good reception with the cheepest bunny wire itena,( with HDTV conberter) so I thought it will be ok to get a cheep antena. But with this 1500 multi-directional Antena, I got 3 English Channel after pointing out to all possible direction,( the wire is so short that you will have a hard time pointing a right direction), and when it rains, there is no reception. Also the leg does stick out so much that you must have a very long nail to hung on the wall. Looks good on picture, but not very well designed eather.

Did not have cable run to the rec room yet so I thought I'd try this with a 52" Sony while we waited for cable. we get tons of channels the HD channels look better then our other 42" tv that has a cable HD box from charter.

Recently lost my job due to economy and company downsize so had to downsize our bills which meant cable TV, did research on digital antennas but was very skeptical due to the old digital converter boxes that came out a few years ago and seeing how those looked. I have a 50" flatscreen so I wanted to at least get good picture, well the RCA 1500 does GREAT. Very impressed.

This antenna picks up less stations than plain rabbit ears -- even in the UHF spectrum where rabbit ears are horrendous. I've tried several lower priced indoor antennas. None of them stood out. All of them (except this one) performed a bit better than plain rabbit ears. This antenna performed MUCH worse. I tested it in many locations, in many different positions throughout my house and was stunned by the lack of signal. Do not buy. You have been warned.

I have owned this antenna for about two months, and I love it.
It picks up every single digital channel in my area, and many from very far away. It is solidly built and easy to use and unlike most "rabbit ears" antennas it won't tip over or poke anybody in the eye.

I recommend this for everyone!

I needed a digital antenna to go with my converter box. I chose this one because of the price, and that it was flat so you could lay it down or hang it up or use the included stand. I have had it know for about a month and I'm still having problems getting channels in. I have tried putting it in different place and I tried to lay it down and using the stand as well as hang. But I still only getting six channels.

Small but works great. I live 40 plus miles away from all the stations but I got great reception.
