Perfect Quality Reception! For not having a A/C powered module this is the best antenna there is most definitely. I recommend this buy for many reason but the most important is in my area it outperformed a bunny eared antenna that had an A/C powered amplifier. So less cords is always better.

I purchased this product after deciding to cut my cable TV subscription after getting tired of my cable provider's rate adjustments every six months. My cable bill was $ 120 a month and I was watching way too much TV. Time to simplify life. Broadcast TV will be more than enough for now.

The "RCA ANT1600 Flat Digital Passive Indoor TV Antenna" is perfect for what I need. I live in Philadelphia's Center City so there was no need to get an amplified antenna. I live in an apartment building and there were no reception issues. My HD Sony Bravia's built-in digital tuner was able to pick up 40 channels when I hooked up the RCA ANT1600. Since this antenna is passive, there's no power cord and only one wire to hook-up. Very simple to install - all I did was plug in the antenna's built-in coax cable connector to the TV. The sleek and slim design looks great and blends well on top of the TV cabinet like it is not even there at all.

My next purchase is a Digital Video Recorder. I'm currently looking at buying the "Channel Master CM-7000PAL" so I can record shows and have TV guide/listings with zero subscription charges. No more cable TV for me.

The two existing reviews for this antenna reflect exactly what I experience using it in two locations. One is in a small town far removed from any local broadcasting, the other is inside the Atlanta city limits.

In Atlanta I receive all of the networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CW, PBS) plus local channels that aren't on cable ([...] has a complete list of what you can receive over the air). All excellent crisp HD quality. Out in the sticks, like the bad review, rabbit ears work better even though it is supposed to pick up analog signals.

In short, this antenna works more than I expected when connected to an signal amplifer.

I live in Anaheim Hills, more than 30 miles away from the transmitter towers. Have been using with cable or satelite ever since moved to here for 17 years. The [..] shows I have two blue and some violet channels available, which means I have to install a large outdoor antenna to receive them. Since my neighbor said they could use the in-door antenna to wathc some local channels, I decided to give it a try.

First I bought a Terk FDTV 1a from Best Buy. It was a medium sized flat one with an 10 dB amplifer. I was very happy that I got about 30 channels, including 4.1. What were missing were channels 2,7,9 and 11. The signal strengths were around 40-60. I felt a bigger antenna and more powerful amplifier might work better, so I bought this RCA1600 amd a 24 dB amplifier (Philips PH61111) from Amazon.

The RCA1600 came first. When it was connected to the 10dB amplifier, I got about 40 channels, most noticeble was the addition of channel 2.1. That's a big improvement over FDTV 1a. I received the 24 dB amplifier yesterday and upon intallation, I got 50 channels, incling 7.1 and 9.1. What was absolutely missing was 11.1 which I really dinn't care. So basically with the combination of RCA1600 and a 24 dB pre-amplifer, I can now watch all local channels, except 11.1. The only problem is that the antenna location/direction has to be adjusted for channel 7.1 or 9.1, other channels are pretty stable with either positions. I am happy and amazed.

I was genuinely Surprised. My house is way out in the country, and my TV went from 3 Channels to about 19.

The RCA 1600 is a great antenna that will work well for many people. (I live in a metro area not far from the towers with no tall buildings nearby.) I would recommend the RCA 1650, however, for those with really tough reception problems. The RCA 1650 comes with an amplifier. I paired up the 1600 with an amplifier I had from the previous purchase of the RCA 1450 (the smaller sibling of the RCA 1600 that comes with an amplifier). The RCA 1600 (along with my previous amplifier) delivers outstanding picture and sound.

Again, while the RCA 1600 will serve many well, I'd recommend the RCA 1650 for those with very difficult reception situations. The link below will give a helpful guide to selecting well-matched antenna.

I live right next to NYC and it can barely pick up any NYC stations. If you want static spend your money on this. I can't believe someone could sell something of this poor quality.

This is the second RCA ANT 1600 Flat Digital Passive Indoor TV Antenna I've purchased.
The performance, the price every thing about this product is the best.
Using this product I recieved almost 90 stations over the air (almost a third were digital)
It works great, it looks great and that is why I bought 2 of them - if I had any more Televisions I'd buy more of these.

I tried this antenna trying to cut the expense of sattelite tv.
Do not waste your time with this model.
It did not pick up as many channels as my amplified rabbit ears.

Received RCA ANT1600R flat digital TV antenna in perfect condition. Works great. Picks up all local channels perfectly without having to constantly move antenna around. I use it as a backup for when DirecTV goes out in bad weather conditons. The price I paid was about half of what it would have cost at Lowes for the exact same antenna. I definitely would recommend this antenna for every day use or as a backup for cable or satelite.
