This is quality flat speaker wire. I was a little uncertain but the price was so good, and the picture wasn't very descriptive, but I thought I would risk it - and I am glad I did.

This is flat speaker wire made by RCA. It is 50 foot of 16 AWG, 100% oxygen free multi-stranded copper wire in a clear PVC jacket. One side is marked as positive. Mine came in sealed in RCA retail packaging.

The wire isn't thin like those micro-thin ribbon wires, but it is very thin - likely a millimeter or under. It looks to be the same size as the Acoustic Research PR361 Speaker Cable. I plan to use it under my living room carpet.

I can't comment on sound quality since I haven't used it, but I expect it would perform like any other decent 16 awg speaker wire.

I added some photos since it was hard for me to tell exactly what I was looking at from the original.

Bought these to use with a new pair of Sony 120w speakers. The wire they come with just feels too thin to be able to deliver 120w of sound.

The sound quality, even at low levels, is very much noticeably improved by these wires (had stock on one, and these on the other). Also I just love the flat wire design. Hides easily under anything.

These are very easy to strip as well, not once did I have to restart because I cut a strand. With a knife, slit the clear edges of the casing, and score the casing in-between on both sides. Twist if off, and you're done.

The title should explain what this review is about...I had a very heavy, very round and non pliable speaker cables, which had to cross the room due to speaker placement. The round cable was always a problem under the rug, actually causing some to trip or stumble when walking on it. Therefore, I ordered this flat-wire speaker cable for just this problem and in a few minutes, the problem was resolved, with no loss of signal to the rear speakers...More important, however, was the establishment where the cable was purchased...Very accommodating, genuinely concerned and great customer service, which from my perspective is as important as the product itself...There are many applications for this type of cable but do not be weary of the product or the retail vendor - A great deal from top to bottom.

A quality 16 gauge, clear, flat wire that is easily hidden under base boards, mouldings or carpet.

I think this speaker wire is great, I have nothing bad to say! I was so happy that the company sent me 2 50ft spools for free... I picked the incorrect freight and they ended up shipping a very slow way and I was scared this was not going to get to me on time, so I called the company and they just said we will take care of this for you and sent me some wire at no charge, hey.. I will order from these guys again.. that meant a LOT! Ended up working out fine. Happy with everything!

Purchased this wire to run underneath my carpeting for the addition of some surround speakers. Went to considerable trouble removing baseboards on both ends of the run and fishing a wire puller underneath the carpet and the carpet pad. Was shocked after all this work to find that the 50' of cable that I needed to complete this job wasn't even close. The reason this product is so cheap is that THEY ONLY SHIP YOU 31' OF CABLE. This is a rip-off. I went to Radio Shack and purchased a full 50' of 14-guage cable which was a much better product. It was coiled nicely which kept it flat (this product was bent and kinked which defeated the purpose of being flat) and it was a full 50' as advertised. Don't buy this rip off !!!

nice, high strand count. been using for a month with a new polk tl1600 setup and it sounds great. wire ran under the carpet and pad, there is a noticeable bump, but not as bad as normal speaker wire. wire is coded for polarity on the sleeve. fairly easy to strip the end with a razor blade by slicing 4 sides and then pulling off (with pliers is needed). added more photo for you to look at.

The price of wire is crazy everywhere, so I looked online to see some competitive pricing. The price for these was even better than I had hoped!
I was connecting 4 outdoor speakers through walls and the ceiling, so I wanted to pull them all through at once, so I bought 4- 50' packages.
However, once you unwrap the entire 50' in four separate strands, it gets a bit hard to control. I was in the attic pulling them up through the wall, the ends tangled up, causing multiple trips up and down.
No fault of the product, but be aware that flat wire tends to curl up a bit more than standard.
On the upside of being flat, it is easier to staple in place and looks good.

Well it's speaker wire...what can I say.

It works exactly like I wanted it to. I ran it underneath the carpet. Honestly, I bought it for being kind of cheap, but what can I say? It's speaker wire and it works perfectly fine. Although I did find it hard to make it lay flat sometimes but I just threw the carpet back down and it eventually laid down.

This is good name-brand wire and all 50 feet of it was there. Able to hide it under my carpet following the tack strip without feeling it on top of the carpet.
