I bought this product recently when I took a road trip with my 2 year old on Mother's Day weekend - it took us 2 hours to go 30 miles and we still had 75 miles to go. He was already screaming and restless so we pulled off to the nearest Target and out of pure desperation, I bought this set of DVD players. Now, having used the players a few times, I can say that I am 100% satisfied with my purchase.

The set up was very easy, it took 10 minutes in the Target parking lot. Everything you need is included - car adapter, remote battery and cables. The picture is great and the screens were a perfect fit for my headrests. Most importantly, my son loves them and the rest of our trip was long, but peaceful. I would also recommend purchasing a pair of headphones for the viewers, which allows the driver to listen to their own music without disturbing those watching the DVDs. Highly recommended.

I bought this at target for a cheap 99.00. It was super easy to instal. Was watching a dvd within 10 min. Volume controls on both units and headset jacks. Kids love them and I am very happy with purchase. There was also a 3 year optional warrenty available for only 19.99 more. Overal outstanding product for the price.

Obviously, a common problem with this player is that it stops reading discs. We purchased this in Feb from Target and after 2 weeks it wouldn't power on. We took it back and exchanged it for another and within a few more weeks, that one stopped reading discs. RCA needs to be ashamed and pull these players off of the shelves until they can fix the glitches. It's obviously a very common problem. If you are reading reviews trying to figure out if you should get this or not, go read the reviews on the target website. More than half of the reviewers had the exact same problem!! RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!

Bought this for trips right before Christmas. It was handled only by adults. After just 3 months, it is now broken and no longer reading discs that work in every other dvd player we have. I, too, am now at the mercy of rca service department and will update when they respond. Buyer beware. If you can find another system that has better reviews, I'd go with another brand. I wish I had known what others are now saying about this player. :(

My first set of the product lasted exactly 3 days and then failed for the trip back. Thankfully there was a Target nearby so they exchanged them. Now its been 6 months and they have failed AGAIN!. Always the same failure, does not read DVD's, just stays at RCA dog splash screen. These are TOTAL JUNK. Now I am at the mercy of RCA's service department and I am very unhappy about it.

We bought this for our long beach trip ride. It worked for exactly ONE WEEK and then the player stopped reading discs altogether! I took it back to Tar**t where I got it and they said that was a common problem with this player. DONT BUY IT!

I received this as a Christmas gift and finally decided to take it out of the box for a road trip from NYC to Massachusetts. My 12 year old son maybe watched a total of 15 minutes before the unit froze.
Needless to say it continues to freeze after 5 minutes or so. This item should be discontinued forever! Don't waste your time or money on this model. What a shame!

Got these on sale during the holidays. Picture quality is pretty good and the sound is more than adequate in our mini-van. They made it to May (about 6 months) and suddenly stopped reading DVD's of any kind. I bought a lens cleaner and this did not fix the issue. A friend of mine bought theirs with mine and they are starting to see issues as well. I am currently searching for a new pair and will probably stay away from RCA this time.

Works great so far.
I purchased it from a local store before taking a long trip.
And it did a great job keeping the kids entertained. Probably their only complaint was
that the sound wasn't quite loud enough, but that could easily be solved with some head phones.
Other than that it was easy to set up and works well with a nice clear picture.
I've noticed that others have had issues with similar dvd players and will post an update if I experience any problems.

We bought this DVD for longer car trips...meaning it does not stay in our car except during trips. This DVD player worked for only 1 1/2 trips. It will not power on now at all. I even got a new cord thinking that was the problem and nothing. Do not buy this product.
