Now you can cook and watch your favorite programs at the same time. This kitchen TV is compact and features an attractive exterior to fit in with almost any kitchen decor. You can stand the TV on the counter, or a swiveling, under-cabinet mounting bracket allows you to conveniently store your TV.
The RCA has V-chip parental control whereby program rating information is sent by the broadcaster before the beginning of each program. It blocks unwanted television broadcasts with U.S. government-required circuitry. The V-chip blocks three types of programs: regular television programs, broadcast movies, and unrated programs. The television will match program rating to user preference and block the entire program. User preference is secured using a four-digit password. Also, the front panel locks, so small children cannot adjust the volume and channel.
An auto cable and air switch sets tuner to cable or "off-air" frequencies during initial setup. Then the system automatically scans for and locks active channels into channel memory.
A sleep timer automatically turns off the TV after a preset period--for the times when you drift off to sleep in front of the television. With an alarm timer, you can wake up to your favorite morning show, or it can turn on your television automatically and catch your favorite program. Since the alarm setting remains in the TV memory indefinitely, the TV can be scheduled to turn on at the same time every day.
The corresponding remote has a protective plastic cover so you can easily wipe it clean. On-screen displays make it easy to adjust most picture, sound, and convenience features from the remote control.
The TV comes with a headphone jack (headphones not included) and a warranty that covers 90 days for labor and one year for parts (two years for picture tube).

I owned the prior model, which was a pretty good set but had some nagging flaws (buttons often broke, pushing the wrong button reset the picture to 'baseline', which was awful). This set has flush buttons that are water resistant, the picture is good every time, and even the automatic (when muted) closed-captioning is useful. The FM tuner is gone, but it wasn't that good anyway.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife 4 years ago because she likes to watch Oprah while getting supper ready and she likes to listen to National Public Radio on Saturday mornings. And this wonderful television comes with an FM tuner, so we had the best of both worlds. The picture is clear and sharp. The sound is crisp and clean. And my wife has used this TV practically every single day we have been home for the past four years and it still works great.One thing we did notice, though, is that once in a while when you turn the TV on, it will take up to ten seconds for the volume and picture to come on. We're not sure why this is. It only started happening recently. Yet I still recommend this 9 inch TV if you are looking for something small that will fit on your kitchen counter or on a large bedroom/bathroom vanity, and especially if it is important for you to have the FM radio option, because many TVs do not have it.

....clear sound, crisp, clear picture.
The only drawback is the Amazon.com price....about $30 dollars over Circuit City. A great buy if you shop around.
