If you are thinking about using this to play CDs, DON'T. First, it takes anywhere between 15 seconds and three minutes for the CD player to "read" the CD and begin playing it once you put it in. Once it does start playing, if you put the handle down with anything but a feather touch, the CD stops playing and you have to turn it off, turn it on, and wait another 3 minutes for it to read the CD again. Ditto for if you are carrying the boom box while it plays and it swings AT ALL, if it's on the floor and you walk next to it, if a stiff breeze blows by it, etc. I just printed out a return label . . .this one's going back home to papa.

I purchased this unit about two months ago and overall have been very pleased with it. The RCA line in jacks in the front allow me to plug in my laptop, mp3 player, etc. (using my 3.5mm to RCA cord) which makes this player very versatile. The radio works well, and gets good reception.

One problem I have had is that some audio CDs (on Memorex) which I burned will not play at all or will stop playing in the middle of a song. These same CDs play just fine in a cheap Emerson player we have. I have also noticed that sometimes the highs in a song seem to sound distorted or fuzzy.

But for the price I think it is a great value and I am satisfied with the sound quality.

This little boom box isnt half bad. RCA jacks in front are great for a psp home theater kit for tourself instead of something more expensive. I also live out in the middle of no where, The radio picks up stuff that my huge stereo wont.

Only draw bock to this produt is the cd player. The tray has a push button and it comes out like it would with an automated try. But then to put the cd to play , very carefully you have to push the rack back until it clicks. But i still didnt buy it for the cd player. I give this product 4 out of 5 stars.
