A headphone jack lets you listen in private, while a remote control lets you change songs and sources from across the room. Preassigned equalization settings of bass, treble, and midrange let you tailor the sound according to personal preference (choose from classic, jazz, rock, and pop). Dynamic Bass Boost heightens the low-frequency presence for more powerful sound. Twenty station presets (10 AM/10 FM) let you program and readily access favorite radio stations. The unit operates on six D batteries (not included). Memory back-up for the clock/timer requires three AA batteries (also not included).

I've only had this mp3 cd player for a couple weeks, but so far it's worked out great. I don't have to keep changing cd's a work like with a regular cd player. It's hasn't had a problem with any of my mp3 cd's and the sound quality is great. The volume could be a little higher, but it's sufficient for work. The digital tuner is great, but it doesn't get as good of reception as my old cd player did, but now I don't care since I use the mp3 player the most.

My only annoyance is the shuffle feature. It works fine, but everytime I turn it on, I have to go and turn the shuffle on. I wish it would remember that I always want shuffle. I know it's really minor, but that's the only thing wrong with it so far.
