	Expanded transport keys:     Expanded DVD/DVR/VCR control buttons allow you to properly operate your devices.  These buttons include Reverse, Play, Forward, Record, Stop, Pause, Skip Back, Slow and Skip Forward. Up to 25 programmable activities:

Volume and transport key punch-through   The RCA Voice Control Remote offers two ways of minimizing the number of button presses required for everyday actions:
Controls up to 6 devices: TV SAT•CBL•DTC DVD DVR•AUX1 AUDIO VCR•AUX2	Punch-through   By default, the remote "punches through" volume commands to the device programmed for the TV button, regardless of which mode you're in.  This means you can control TV volume while you're watching a DVD or cable/satellite programming without having to press the TV button first.  Smart Source
	Smart Source is a patented technology that lets you decide which entertainment device you want to use for common functions such as volume, channel or disc playback control.  Once you've set up Smart Source, these buttons are "locked" to the device you use them with, regardless of which device mode you're in. Smart Source locking is most useful if you use single devices in your home theater to change channels, control volume and play/stop/pause DVDs. If, for example, your TV controls volume for your entire home theater, set Smart Source control for the volume keys to your TV. Smart Source can also simplify voice programming, by reducing the number of button presses required to perform a function.

Over all it is ok. But the voice commands are to slow for any thing but general device selection off / on. Voice is useless for freezing actions at an exact point. You must say the "words remote control" then wait for a beep then what you want to do. It does not find the codes for older TVs or DVR'S. But seems to find the new models fine. It does have a learn from other remote ability for learning one button at a time but has a 25 learn remote button limit. This is designed to fill in gaps in remotes that have special keys for exact models after basic keys are found by the codes. I have 2 TIVO series 2 DVRs a Toshiba and a Humax. It found a code that runs half the keys on the Toshiba, but none on the Humax. And not enough learning space to learn all the Humax never mind the other half of the Toshiba. but if you have all newer equipment and only want the remotes voice functions for basics channel up/down, go to espn, power in a non time required way it will do the job.

Not all its cracked up to be.

My sister has MS, so she cannot use her hands. Since April 2011 she is using this voice control remote. Now she is able to change all things on her TV. All is working fine and she is really happy.

I'm not exactly certain what problems others had with this particular remote control, but as a disabled person who is having an increasingly difficult time physically controlling all of my electronic devices, this remote is a godsend. Right now it controls my television set, and more importantly, my Comcast DVR. I'm hoping that I will be able to manage somehow to get it to recognize my PlayStation 3. On occasion, you have to be loud with your keyword, but so far it hears me and does as I command. I'm actually thinking about buying another one as a spare backup.
