The remote is otherwise well-designed, but it doesn't work! It loses the codes approximately every other day and you have to keep re-entering them. Get something else.

I have owned two of these and both of them kept losing their
codes I have programmed in it after a few days and both of them
had new batteries in them.

I bought this even with the bad reviews. I have one of it's predecessors, a black one and it worked fantastically for 5 or 6 years. It still does but the on/off button finally died. I figured... how bad could it be? The one I have worked great until now.

It's BAD. It's AWFUL. It's WORTHLESS. I've had to enter the codes for my tv and vcr 3 times today. The batteries are brand new... that's the first thing I tried. DO NOT BUY THIS. I only gave it a 1 because you can't give it a zero.

i bought one version from best buy, then i bought another with different buttons, then i bought this platinum one because its so cool looking, just make sure you save the codes

I ordered this remote to replace the original remote on an RCA 27" TV that is over 10 years old. The old remote's buttons were sticking and it was very difficult to change channels or change volume. The RCA RCU410MS Universal 4 Device Remote Control works great. All I had to do is put batteries in it and it works like a charm. The new remote did not have to be programed. All functions work just like the original and the response is quick and acturate everytime. After experiencing the easy switch to this new remote, I tried later to buy another one of these remotes for our bedroom RCA TV, but they were not available at the time. This is a great remote!
