Just what I was looking for.,
This review is from: RCA RD2010 128MB Lyra Flash MP3 Player with FM Tuner - Blue (Electronics)
I managed to get this player when it was in the low $50's which makes it an even better deal as it looks like it is sold for over $100 some places.
This is my first MP3 player and so far I have had no problems with it. One reason I choose this over the other RCA Lyra's was the battery life compared to the RD1090. The 2010 is 50 hours with one AA and the 1090 is 15 hours with two AA's The 2010 also has the backlit screen where the two lower modle Lyra's do not. The earphones clip over your ear and I have been skateing a mini-ramp while using the Lyra and the earphones have not budged. Another reason I picked this brand as with the RIO Forges you can expand the memory. It sounds like you can use 1gb cards but I have not gotten one to try it with. I did get a good deal on a 256mb card and have used that now with no problem. The FM tuner works fine for me I can get the major stations in the Philly area and I don't know why I would want to record something from FM but it's there if I want it. Make sure if you buy this that you get the latest firmware. Right now it is 1.51. The only reason not to give it 5 starts is the lack of a clock/alarm and they have not gotten the auto resume working yet. oh, also why do none of these things get in AM stations.

Had to offer a counterpoint to the other review on this site trashing this little player. I got this for Christmas a few days ago and have nothing but great reviews. My friend got a red iriver and we've been comparing them all morning. Other than the iriver having a little flashier interface, this player stacks right up on every feature, at a little less of a price. You can drag and drop files right into the player from your computer, although if you prefer to organize them into folders, the included musicmatch software is relatively easy to use, and you can drag files into the playlists. The download time was relatively quick, and the sound quality is AMAZING. I would definitely recommend this to a first time user or someone that wants the convenience of lightweight portable music that doesnt want to shell out for an ipod. Recommended!

I have two other flash card players-- a no-name brand with 256 MB capacity, but no expansion capability, and a Motorola M25 which have an internal expansion SD slot and 256 MB capacity. From a sound comparison standpoint, they all do a decent job here. But I thought the RD 2010 sound slightly better due to the headphone. Also I like the clip behind the ear headphone. I just don't like the earbuds that the many other units provided. They fall out after a while on me. I like the look and handling of the RD 2010. I can operate the unit with just one hand; while the other two, I always have to use two hands to operated it. I also like the case that come with the unit as well. It comes with a armband to clip the case to. The way the case is designed I can also clip it to my belt on my waist if I like. Also the unit has a swivel head which I can clip on a neck band to carry this way if I want.
I don't particularly like the profiling feature. You have to do this manually, while the Motorola m25 does it automatically for unit everytime you change an SD card. Also I haven't found a way for me to store info at the song I was at when I turn off the unit. I have to scroll to the song I was last at every time I turn the unit back on. there is a little more hiss when the FM signal is a little weak. But sounds great when signal is strong. Other than that, I am quite happy with the unit, especially the long battery life.
