I love this CD player. I needed a CD player and I bought this one. It is awsome! Sometimes though when you press one button that function will happen and so will another. Now it doesn't have all the new features but it is awsome. The manual gives little info. I can't figure out how the Resume works. Sometimes it is on and sometimes it's off. One thing is I had a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Average Player, March 14, 2001
This review is from: RCA RP2365 Slim-Design Portable CD Player with Car Kit (Electronics)
The RCA cd player is a great buy for it's price although it does not offer very many options when it comes to playback of a CD. It does not come with good accssories, but the sound quality is SUPERIOR to any CD player that I have ever listened too! The bass in the supplied headphones is awesome and didn't hiss when I increased the volume. I liked it for a while, but I took it back and got the Sony D-EJ715 CD Walkman whcih I LOVE!!! The Sony CD player offers all the features of the RCA player but includes a wired remote, a sleek-smaller design, a longer battery life, street-style headphones, rechargeable batteries, a carrying case, and a built-in charging capability which the RCA player doesn't offer. So if you have the extra money go for any of the new line of Sony CD players which offer "G-Protection". My Sony model which is D-EJ715 cost on average $129.99 but is worth every cent.

One thing is I had a problem with mine. I was on a car trip and when i was playing the cd the LCD kept saying open. We sent it back and we had a big problem with RCA.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolute, total junk!!!, October 17, 2000
By
This review is from: RCA RP2365 Slim-Design Portable CD Player with Car Kit (Electronics)
This is perhaps the worst product I've ever purchased in my life. First, it cannot find the beginning of tracks on your CD. For example, if you scan ahead to track #12, it usually cannot find the track, and the times that it does, it often takes as many as FIVE minutes. The rest of the time it just spins endlessly. Second, the batteries died on me after using it for only about two hours. Apparently, it does not shut itself off correctly. And when the batteries died, the battery indicator was still showing that the batteries were fully charged. Third, if you open the CD player while it is turned on and switch the CD, it will not let you play the CD. You must wait a full minute for it to turn itself off before you can begin using it again. At over 50% off the list price, I thought it was a good deal. But when you're talking about a total piece of junk that must be either returned or thrown in the garbage, even 99 cents would be too high a price to pay. Don't take the risk with this low quality product -- it's just not worth the time, money, or headache!

4.0 out of 5 stars RCA2365 going on three years, February 1, 2003

I have had this personal cd player for about two and a half years and have never had a problem with it. I bought it primarily for the price and the "goodies" that came with it (ie: car kit, power cord) and I am very satisfied with it. I guess if you take care of things they will last a long time.

1.0 out of 5 stars RCA RP2360FM - BROKE!!!, December 9, 2002
This review is from: RCA RP2365 Slim-Design Portable CD Player with Car Kit (Electronics)
This pictured item is close to the version we got in 2001. The kids hadn't had it for a few days when the CD portion broke. It keeps saying "no disc" even though it is spinning inside. The only thing that works on it is the FM radio. I guess we'll keep it for that, but the price isn't worth a radio!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice!, April 20, 2001
This review is from: RCA RP2365 Slim-Design Portable CD Player with Car Kit (Electronics)
I bought this player in december and it still work perfectly. It never skips, ( which is great, because i use it when i run). The bass is amazing, and its the clearest sound i've ever herd on a portable player. The only real problem i've had was i tried to use a cd-rw in it and it screwed up the antiskip(only when it played the cd-rw though). Either way a perfect deal for the money.
