1.0 out of 5 stars Not up to par
I've gone through several portable players and this one turned out to be disappointing. It is way too noisy for a "quality" piece of electronics. The white noise in the headphones is excessive. It also skips a little too easily. It is well constructed and very compact but the white noise is unacceptable. Not worth buying.

I didnt like the color (silver/grey. your standard cd player color. ;} But the plusses made up for the problems quickly. 1. the white noise fades. After a month, the white noise is almost completely gone. 2. i got it through cambridge center with the ESP off, and it didnt skip. and it uses AAA batteries, cheaper than AA and it uses very little. I especially liked the facty that it saved data on where you were in the CD. nice for when litening in class gets interupted by teachers insisting on your "learning" so far i have drop this, kicked it, had it kicked down stairs, and the only damage is some scratches to the paint. Light, durable, great equipment, and not too expensive for a CD player of the quality. if you need a good player to last you a while. pick this one up.

1.0 out of 5 stars piece of junk, June 19, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: RCA RP2375 Ultra-Slim Portable CD Player with Car Kit (Electronics)
a while ago my cd player broke, i decided to let it r.i.p. and take my mom's, cos she never uses it. the minute i started listening to it i was disgusted. by what you ask? the same problems as everyone else:
*it's flimsy and breaks very easily, and i'm one of those people who uses the special spot on their backpack for cd players.
*it skips like a mofo.
*THE WHITE NOISE!!!!!
*AAA batteries are annoying.
*volume doesn't go up that loud.
*the "surround mode" [...stinks] so bad and makes good music sound [...bad].
*the headphones are junk.

there is one good thing about it:

*it's slim and tiny, but it still has a nice big LCD.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best!!!, September 9, 2001
This review is from: RCA RP2375 Ultra-Slim Portable CD Player with Car Kit (Electronics)
A great player. The sound quality is extrodinary and the accesories are cool too. The lid hinges break a little too easy but it doesn't effect the cd play. A great player for the money.
