Giving new meaning to the phrase "rock on," the RCA RP2600 personal CD player delivers up to 20 hours of playback from a single pair of AA batteries, letting you enjoy your favorite tunes during an across-the-world plane ride or cross-country bus trip without running out of juice prematurely. Even better, the unit isn't confined to CDs only, as it also plays CD-R and CD-RW discs in addition to CDs bundled with MP3 and WMA files. The latter feature is particularly convenient for traveling, as MP3-CDs can hold up to 10 hours of music each. The upshot is that you won't need to bring along an entire CD library to have access to a ton of music.

The CD player also boasts RCA's 60-second espXtreme anti-skip protection, which retains up to a minute of your music in its built-in memory. Should you accidentally jostle the player during a workout or hit a speed bump, the RC2600 continues to play as if nothing happened. Meanwhile, the audio performance is enhanced by the digital bass boost button, which adds depth to the low-end frequencies for a richer overall sound. Additional features include an auto-off function, which automatically shuts down the unit 30 seconds after a disc has finished playing to preserve battery power; 24-track programming; an easy-to-read LCD display; and a pair of comfortable e-clipz clip-on headphones.

The CD player measures 5.55 by 1.09 by 5.55 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a one-year warranty.

This player is a very nice unit. Sound has 2 different bass settings. Sound is very good. This unit plays my CD-R discs along with regular discs. The "e-clipz" are a REAL nice bonus. Extremely comfortable. Very good sound. Along with Amazon's free shipping this is the unit to have.

When I purchased this item I was looking for a cd player that would play mp3s. This is a great cd player; however, it does not play mp3s or wmas as the description said. I was able to return the product for a refund, and the whole thing was handled professionally and promptly. I just don't want anyone else to make the same mistake.

I wish they had mentioned in the info that the headphones are the silly ones that hook over your ears.....bought it for a child and I would have chosen differently.
