I am pleased with this clock radio. It has plenty of options for the average user; the time can be seen easily for near sighted people like myself. The stereo speakers give it a richer sound, but a little more bass would have been nice. You can set the nap time for up to two hours, which is more than alot of the clock radios allow that have this function. Even the snooze button can be programmed for up to 30 minutes. It is CD-R compatible, so I can play my own CD's. The graduated alarm function is only for the alarm and not for the radio or CD player. I never wake to an alarm anyhow - I prefer a soft sounding CD or radio station to gently wake me up. I also like the forward and reverse buttons for setting time and alarm functions - much more convenient than just having a forward button. The color of the unit is white with some metallic accents and the speakers are covered in a nice silvery mesh. Anyway, a big improvement over my 5 year old Sony Dream Machine!

I am so happy with this little unit. I bought this CD/radio for use in the kitchen. I have never used the alarm features, so I can't say how they work. However, I LOVE the size and the speaker location and the way the CD opens from the front. The light color of the unit is attractive, not the usual dark black colors common in clock radios/CDs. I bought a second one for my husband's desk at work. Easy to turn radio off and NO CDs have skipped. Yay!!

I purchased this clock radio to replace a 10 year old Sony Dream Machine. I wasn't looking for something with a CD player but ended up getting this one on sale and couldn't turn down the deal. After reading through the owners manual on how to set it up, I was very pleased with the radio. I love the green numbers, and the white with chrome look is so sleek, it looks like it belongs in an office, not a bedroom. A big change from my black Sony. I love the ease of setting the alarm, the forward and back time setting, the choice of waking to a CD or radio (or the horrid beep-beep!) and the digital tuner. The digital tuner wasn't something I was orginally looking for, but I'm so glad I got it. You can program up to 10 channels into it's memory and pick one station to wake to, even if it's not the last channel you listened to. Overall, I'm very pleased with this radio.

I would like to set it to either repeat a song, or program it to only play certain songs, however the only options you have in this regard are to repeat the whole CD, or randomly shuffle through the songs on the CD. This is a problem especially when I want to use the sleep option. This option lets you play a CD or radio for up to 2 hours before it will automatically shut it's self off. When I am going to sleep I like to listen to softer songs, but most of my CD also have harder songs on them, so I am forced to make a special compilation of sleeper music. Other than that I think it is a great buy.

I bought this alarm when I started college over 4 years ago and it's still working strong! The only thing wrong is that when it becomes unpluged from the wall it no longer shows the time on the display, yet the backup battery still keeps the time and there is no need to reset it. There are only one thing I don't like--you cannot shut off the nap funcion if you wake up early, you either have to let it go off or fast forward the time to make it go back and than reset the time.
