This is a low quality entry level 5.1 home theatre/DVD player. It plays DVDs OK and comes with 5 incredibly cheezy speakers along with plenty of wire to string them around. The Optical input is not fully compatible with Windows S/PDIF output. It DOES NOT Support DTS input although it plays DTS DVDs ok (via conversion). It supports Dolby input ONLY at up to 48KHz on the optical input cable so be aware. It does not support optical PCM or DTS decoding.

The remote works fine and it does have composite outputs to properly render anamorphic and widescreen DVDs on an HD television. If all you want is a DVD player with better than stereo audio it's a good buy. If you expect to use as an SPDIF amplifier with windows, find another decoder.

Got it in the mail super quick, opened it and set up the player...buttons didn't work. Had to get the remote to turn it on and work it. Sent it back. Looked like a good product but it ruined me from getting another one.

Got this item 4 days ago and when I installed it the DVD door did not open. Tried several times and still was not opening. Very dissapointed. Returned the item back for a full refund.

i purchased this item as my mothers christmas presen. i got it later then after amazon said, i could handle that. when i recived it, the dvd tray would not open and it made a loud grinding noise. once again DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

The sound its good for a room, and the product doesnt have aun hdmi output . Installation very easy. The five horns sounds great but you need to turn up all the sound.

this system isn't the worst but definitively not the best. if you upgrade the center speakers and the sub woofer it would be ok.

I own alot of the RCA brand. I bought this product for my bedroom, works really well nice sound. I have additional speakers that I plug into it for a louder sound. Good buy, for a large or small space.

The RCA system was easy to set up, sounds decent, but the biggest thing Is volume. it lacks some of it.

I orderd this item because it was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, after hooking up the item the dvd rack did not open so I called amazon to discuss my options I was connected to someone in India who could barely speak English and was unable to answer any questions that deviated from her script. After repeatedly asking for a supervisor (5 times) she finally connected me and they agreed to send me a new one and to send UPS to pick up the non-working one.
I received the new unit several days later and promptly plugged it in to make sure it worked, again I had received a unit that did not work this time it didn't even turn on. So I am unable to review how well this unit works because I never recieved one that worked and I have no given up and plan to purchase from an actual store.

Functional as described and about what you would expect at that price. No complaints. Sound is adequate for a very small area and the size is ok for book shelf type of installation.
