1.0 out of 5 stars Keep Shopping, March 15, 2003

Yes, it really is broke. I'm looking for something right now and it's not going to be yet another RCS remote. They're great when they work - having said that, this is the 5th unit thats died. However, before giving up, do follow the 'programming procedure' afer changing batteries; that's necessary every time you change batteries (you'll change batteries a couple of times before having to buy another one).

I've had two of these things and on both of them the volume buttons have broken. I've replaced the batteries many times and neither one works properly. I have no idea what is wrong with them. I'm looking for another remote right now but it will not be an RCA.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not all that universal..., January 25, 2005
This review is from: RCA Universal 8 Device Learning remote (Electronics)
I originally bought this over a year ago for my HT Setup. I was able to program my TV (Mitsubishi) easily, but when it came to all the other devices (receiver, dvd player, ld player, vcr, etc..), it did not work. I entered in different program codes, but no luck.

Save yourself some headaches and consider looking for another universal remote.
