This review is from: REACTOR Men's 72002 Meltdown Silver Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch (Watch)
Amazing watch. I am a watch collector and usually change watches everyday. Sometimes, two or three times a day. I have had this watch for a week and can't seem to take it off. I find myself staring transfixed by the simple dial and bright, blue lined, super luminous hands and hour markers.
The best: White or silver toned dials on watches are nice but usually they are combined with hands that are silver edged making it very difficult to see the time. This has a beautiful blue edge to the hands (that depending on the light may look black) that contrast just right against the silver dial making it super easy to tell time in any and all conditions. The luminescence is just incredibly bright and last all night. The bezel is smooth, with no play at all and very easy to grasp. It has a highly visible, luminescent marker at the 12 o'clock position. The clean, simple dial is simplicity at it's best. The day and date are easy to read and framed by the blue steel that frames hour markers and hands. The case is not super heavy but does have heft to it and let's you know that you are wearing a stainless steel watch. The bracelet is thick, strong and has no jingle or clinking sound to it when you move around. Very well made and also one of the easiest watches to size I have ever dealt with. You can make it fit perfectly with the micro adjustments. This watch wears as is it had been made specifically for my wrist. At 42mm it sits perfectly on my 7.25 inch wrist with not a bit of tightness or wobble. The second hand falls right on the hour markers. Many quartz watches don't do that and it may not be important to some but I like it when the second hand hits the markers instead of in between them. The worst: There are no minute markers so if you like seeing what time it is to the minute, you are out of luck unless the hand is right on the hour markers. I would have liked minute markers between the hour markers. It would have added a little extra to the dial and still kept it simple and clean. When all is said and done, this watch is one of my favorites. You can wear it from dressy to sporty occasions without being much of a fashion misfit and that helps too. |
