The striking black dial is complemented by three smaller sub-dials for even more precise timekeeping. It offers a gorgeous contrast to the patented Superluminova-finished numerals and hands, which provide up to eight hours of low-light readability. The indexes, with their stylishly modern, oversized design, are easy to read, as is the handy date calendar located at between the four and five o'clock positions. A tachymeter forms the outer perimeter of the dial, and the unidirectional bezel provides a very stylish touch as well as additional timekeeping functionality. The watch's 40-millimeter case is constructed of sold, marine-grade 316L stainless steel for ultimate corrosion resistance, and the hardened mineral glass crystal offers extreme scratch and shatter resistance. The handsome stainless steel wrist band includes a fold-over clasp with a safety lock for additional security. Like all Reactor watches, each Critical Mass watch is individually tested to its depth rating of 200 meters; it also features a triple O-ring screwdown crown and crown protector for excellent water resistance. The watch is powered by analog quartz movement.
