I can't use this version of Reader Rabbit because it is not compatible with windows 7...Waste my money because i opened the disk.

I bought this for my 1st grader - she is 6. She loves this game - to her it is a game - to me it is a great learning experience for her. Works great on my xp media center machine - trouble free to use, super easy to install.

My 5-year-old likes this progam, but he quickly figured out that he can skip the actual reading-the-story sections to get to the next game levels, so he had worked through the whole thing in just a couple of hours. While the games are fun and educational, the graphics and music are clunky, and the program has to pause a lot to go back to the disc (we are using it on a laptop). For Mac users, the program only works on an older Mac or one with "OS 10 classic" which we don't have, so that was a disappointment.

Not sure just how good of a product this is as it would not run well on Windows 7. The big problem is the support or lack there of. When I called the producer of the product listed on the package, they claimed they were only the distributor. The people they sent we to said they were only a distributor as well and sent me back to the first party so on and so on. So to this date, I am unable to run the product.

I have not been able to install the installation progam disk...I cannot then use the RR personalized reading program. I have tried it on both my computers and it will not work. I bought the math at the same time and the math installation progam does work.

Bought this for my son along with the Reader Rabbit Math ages 6-9 and the Reader Rabbit I Can Read with Phonics 1st and 2nd grade. The Reading 6-9 and the I can Read 1st and 2nd grade are the exact same program. Literally. I was hoping they'd have different games or something but... they didn't. I was less impressed with this than the math.

Advertised compatible with Mac OS, assumed X, but it's not. It only works with Mac OS 9

I have been buying Reader Rabbit DVD's since 1998 and have been very happy with all of them. I enjoy spending half an hour to 45 minutes a day with my child, working on her reading fundamentals. This is a great DVD. It incorporates game play and reading skills all in one. This program lets you child record his/her voice as she reads the stories. He/she will be able to play the recording back and listen to his/herself. Great moral booster for the child.

I received product lastnight night for my five year old. I hope this is only a glitch. The program will not allow my daughter to go onto the next level in the map. I am going to purchase an older desktop for my daughter and hope it works on it. I think if we fix the glitch this will be an awesome product. I also purchased the I Can Read and The math. Both of the work fine. I am not sure what is going on. I hope it works or they can send me a new one.

My son played with this over summer vacation. He went from a kid who hated trying to read to one that was learning small words while he played. This was recommended by a co-worker who has 7 kids who have all used Reader Rabbit. His kids love to read and mine is starting to now. This is definitely worth the money. I would highly recommend this product.
