The UN-reality of Nudism!, April 20, 2011
This review is from: THE REALITY OF NUDISM (Paperback)
Worst book that it has ever been my misfortune to read. There are spelling, tense, context and other grammar errors throughout. Worse, the author is completely inaccurate about his subject- his "knowledge" of nudism is of the worst, internet misinformation type, and does more damage than benefit. As a nudist myself for over ten years I think that I have the authority to make that claim.
From a literary perspective, this is no story, merely a telling of a series of events, and poorly told at that. There is no growth in the author, who hasn't the courage to name himself; he has no more knowledge or insight at the end than the beginning, and his tale has no progression- it's like reading a shopping list. "I did this, then I did this, then I did this..."
Nudism is a way of thinking, a world-view, or a philosophy, not just taking your clothes off at an event every few years- that's just a vacation. Just because you attend a resort- and the author seems to find only the worst, sexually active, NON-family-oriented sort- does not make you a nudist.
Anybody seeking information on nudism should not consider this book. They will only come away with a very distorted view of naturism as it is in this country. It has a bad enough reputation as it is wothout more of this sort of "writing".

Lacking, January 25, 2010
This review is from: THE REALITY OF NUDISM (Paperback)
This book was lacking and a bunch of accusations from the perspective of a single man. He writes poorly and really doesn't have anything interesting to talk about. A book about nudism should have atleast some pictures. Here, none at all.
