Rebates to vary from $25 to $50

Residents who file a 2007 tax return before Sept. 15 can expect a rebate check from the state by Thanksgiving.
The rebates, which vary from $25 to $50, were approved in the special session that ended Tuesday. Gov. Bill Richardson is expected to sign the measure.
People who file after
Sept. 15 can expect to wait about 75 days for a check, said Rick Homans, secretary of the Department of Taxation and Revenue.
