My son has a rocket and airplane theme and we bought this moon to round out the look of the room.

The moon comes with a remote control and can be set to simply turn on or to run in sequence through all of the phases of the moon and then turn itself off after 30 minutes.

It is very realistic looking and is fun to watch when going to sleep (I am told.) It also puts out a fair amount of light, which is nice for little ones as they go to sleep.

The only issue I have is that it seems to go through batteries fairly quickly.

I bought this for my 4th grade class. They love it. It shows all the phases of the moon. This is much better than looking at a book.
