I started this mad adventure by reading the prequel short story to this book and to the Hegemon Wars series - Red Denver. I enjoyed it thoroughly and wanted to know more about this future world of ours that author Denham has imagined.

REHO is a twisting rollercoaster of a ride through wasted, barren lands in Usona (which used to be the good old USA), "Big Brother is watching" Neopan (Japan), the jungles and palaces of New Afrika - and more. Not only does the ride take us through new-old locations but it takes us through many genres (some of which I did not expect). Sci fi, post-apocalyptic fiction, cyberpunk, steampunk, adventure, even a bit of romance - all rolled together in one fast-paced tale in which the action never stops.

The only negative - to me - is that this is a series. I am an instant gratification type of person and I want the whole story NOW.

Just all around coolness!

It was like reading a narrative of awesome platform games like BORDERLANDS and FALLOUT with all manner of fun badassery and action. Solid writing, fluid pacing, and great plot elements, this seriously is a must-read for readers AND video gamers.

I enjoyed it so much that I put a second copy on my personal Kindle Keyboard, so I can re-read it again when more books come out. I always do this for all the book series I deeply enjoy, reading each and every book from the start before getting to the latest publication... and REHO has joined that very small, elite status shared by very few authors.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Throughout Reho, we get the past and necessary information when it's needed. And it isn't told in a way that makes it seem as if it's the author trying to find a way to convey this information while staying in character. Instead it's done in a storytelling way by one of the characters or when Reho goes on a mental ramble. The information feels as if it's naturally coming to us and not just because we need it. I enjoyed that aspect of Reho. It was very well done.

Oh, and the writing was very attention grabbing. I was debating on whether I would read and review Reho but when I read the first few pages, I had to keep reading or else I would have been driving myself to madness wondering what was going on. It grabbed my attention and it held it for the most part throughout the book.

The future Earth and everything about it including the invading aliens were all imaginatively created. It was interesting to compare and contrast this new Earth with our Earth. It's not much different in some ways and yet in others it feels foreign. But I think that's what made things interesting. The fact that while it's familiar in a few, and yet there's more to discover about this new Earth.

I'm also going to give you a bit of warning. Throughout the book, the pace keeps going faster and faster until it slides right over a cliff. The ending was well played and I find myself wanting to read more of D.L. Denham's work just to find out what happened and how everything will play out. So, well played Mr. Denham, well played.

The world of Reho is very much dog eat dog, or at least Reho's world seems to be that way. So if you like action, than you are sure to like Reho. Reho was released on July 31st, so you should go check it out, preview a bit if you'd like to and than purchase it.

I really enjoyed Red Denver, the prelude to this book, so I wasn't disappointed by REHO and it was nice to have a full-length story because D.L.Denham is a great writer with a real fluidity, snappiness and edge to his prose. REHO was truly a superb read, highly original and entertaining, which I think it has the makings of a great trilogy and something that would adapt easily to the big screen. The editing was particularly well done and the formatting perfect for my Kindle. I am looking forward to the next two books already.

Reho is a unique blend of the post-apocalyptic genre and scif with a protagonist that you really want to cheer for. I particularly enjoyed the alien invasion and steampunk side to this story. Check this one out if you are looking for a change. You won't be disappointed.

A compelling read with a likable bad-ass mutant hero, a little romance, a bit of cyberpunk, a few aliens & a lot of action.

I really did enjoy reading this Sci-fi adventure, even though I am not particularly a sci-fi fan. The creative storytelling of the author is increasingly fascinating. The imaginative story of the future Earth, the alien invasion and the characters in the story were well-created. This well-written and attention grabbing tale takes you on a journey packed with adventure and action. I certainly recommend this for anyone, especially the sci-fi enthusiasts.
