These dog clippers are great! They vacumm up the hair while you are cutting. You can see more of what you are cutting and you don't wear the hair. Thanks for a great product.

I bought these from WalMart probabally about a year ago maybe a little more to shave my Chow Chow Shepherd mix. He just doesn't shed fast enough for how fast the heat comes where I live, so I decided to help him. NOT. These clippers did not work on him. His fur was just to thick. Just recently I have been using them to clip dogs (mini poodles, terriers, mutts, schnauzers) that have come thru my local shelter. Don't get me wrong this clippers DO WORK, just depends on the coat. The storage bag that came with them, the zipper broke after a short while. Being that they have a cord did hold me back some as I was grooming dogs sometimes where there wasn't an outlet convenient always, I have now since gotten a pair of cord/cordless clippers. These clippers are good if you are just taking of a inch or less of a very combed out coat. The scissors that came with it work VERY well, and I still use them, and same with the comb. The attachments tend to get stuck in the coat, if not brushed ALOT!!!! And I mean ALOT!!! But they don't just fall off, and are actually stiffer than most plastic attachments I have used on clippers. So I'll give it that much. Overall their O.K. clippers, but not for heavy-duty stuff that I do.

I've been buzz cutting my husband and sons hair for years with a Remington vac/trimmer just like this one. When I purchased this model years ago I wasn't sure if it was going to be too bulky to use and to my surprise it wasn't. The best feature of course is the vacuum system. It really sucks up the hair and does a real good job cutting as well. It does leave small clippings scattered on their shoulders and back, but our routine is for them to get in the shower when I'm done anyway. There is never a mess on the floor to have to sweep up and the hair dispenser snaps right out, you empty it and snap it right back in. Originally it was packaged and sold for humans, and after looking for awhile for another one I finally realized that this one had to be the same one but packaged different. So I ordered it hoping I was right and it is. I've never used it on pets and don't know how that will work but on my guys it works great. The only reason I had to buy another one is our son has moved off to college and wanted to take our other one with him.

The product has a good design however it doesn't work on my dog. I have a coton de tulear I can't seem to get the coat short like the groomer does. My friend has a shih tzu and she has no problem. It could be me or my dog's cottony coat but these were a waste of my money.
