Product Description

Note:Buy only from ATC to qualify for one full year product warranty. The Remote Trainer has 2 components; a collar device (receiver) and a hand- held remote control unit. It uses vibration or micro static shock to modify your dog's behavior and a whistle tone reward for positive reinforcement. You can use this product to deter them from such behaviors as digging, getting into the trash, chasing cars, stealing food from the counter, running away from you, etc.

? Matching Receiver and Transmitter :
1. Turn on the transmitter by the switch on right side of it
2. Install the batteries for the receiver. The LED inside the receiver starts to keep flashing. Press vibration or shock button immediately after batteries are put into the receiver firmly. Then the LED will stop flashing and only light which indicates that the transmitter and the receiver have matched each other successfully.
3. If LED stops flashing on its own without press any button in the transmitter, take out the batteries. Wait for at least 10 Seconds and try step 2 again.
4. Put the cover on the receiver firmly
5. Attach the receiver to the collar.

? Features:
1. Remote training collar with LCD display.

Trainer Collar May 31, 2011

I was worried at first because of all the people that said within a day theres stopped working. Rolled the dice and sure enough mine stopped the first day. Decided to change the batteries in the collar and it worked perfectly again. I would say the biggest issue is the crap chinese batteries it comes with. Got some long lasting AA and still going for almost a month. We have a dog that likes to run away and plays chicken with cars this collar has given us a well behaved dog and the range is excellent.

I bought a unit. I thought it was great, but it failed after two weeks. I figured the dog had rammed it against something so I got another. The new unit failed after a week. I took the collar unit apart and found that the construction was such that the vibration of the collar (a feature) was causing the internal wires to get clipped apart. I took the original unit apart and found the exact same thing. If you buy it I hope you have better luck but I believe there to be a technical design flaw.

Not recommended May 12, 2012
By Ryan
I purchased new batteries knowing this item was going to have bad batteries to start. It requires 2 - PX28A batteries for the remote and 2 AAA for the collar. The batteries lasted 14 hours from turning on. I put the new batteries in and it ran for a day then acted as if the batteries were bad. I replaced them again to have the same issue. Intermittently the remote will turn on and be useful but 75% of the time it does not work properly. With all the headache this remote/collar brings I would advise in purchasing another product. Not sure if I can return this but I will be trying to.
