If you're like me you've been bombarded with print and television ads of actress Emma Stone (Crazy Stupid Love) repping Revlon's newest product, the Colorburst Lip Butters. Released in 20 different colors with dessert-inspired names, the lip butters were presented as being ultra-hydrating and luscious as well as long-lasting. And, honestly, what girl wouldn't want to look like Emma Stone?

I picked up four of these on sale at my local CVS for around $5 each with coupon and promotions. The packaging for these lipsticks is a rectangular plastic quilted-pattern tube. The frosty color of the tube reflects the color of the product inside, which is nice and there is a clear plastic window at the very top of the tube so you can look inside and get an idea of what the color actually looks like (good move, Revlon).

Now onto the color! Tutti Frutti is a very bright orange with just the tiniest hint of peach to it. I think it's the kind of color that would frequently be passed over on the shelf because it's a bit intimidating. But it's definitely worth a second look and I'm glad I bought it. First off, these lip butters (for the most part) do apply very sheer. So you won't be applying some sort of opaque crayola crayon color. I'm quite pale with brown hair and a slightly yellow complexion. This suits me quite nicely, but I do need to apply it with a light hand. It enhances my natural lip color with a bit of peach, which I like. I often find orange lip colors flattering, though. Tutti Frutti has great staying power as well. The only donwside to this color is that I could see how this wouldn't be for everyone. Orange is tricky that way. Before purchasing I would recommend swiping the tester across your hand to see how the color fits with your own skintone. I will definitely be repurchasing this when it runs out.

Revlon's lip butters contain mago butter, Shea butter and jojoba oil, so they do live up to their claim of being ultra moisturizing. Considering this I was surprised by how pigmented they are as well. And, unlike many other department store cheap-o lip products, these lip butters don't have an artificial fragrance or a rancid taste. They are comparable to higher end makeup brands.

Right now these lip butters are getting a lot of hype so you'll often find the displays raided at your local drug store. Keep checking! These are going to be a permanent part of Revlon's product line!

4.0 out of 5 stars Love the color! June 3, 2012
I have been searching for the perfect orange/red color, and Tutti Frutti is exactly what I was looking for. I have a light medium complexion with warm undertones, and this color is very complimentary. I wouldn't recommend this as an everyday color for work since it is quite bright, but everyone is different. Only downside is that it does not last long, I feel like I need to reapply after an hour or so. Also, make sure your lips are exfoliated prior to use because the color will cling to chapped lips and won't be even. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars More coral than orange, IMHO... January 7, 2013
First off, I have to admit I did not buy the Tutti Frutti lipstick from Amazon - I keep forgetting that Amazon even sells makeup! I did buy it online, and have never shopped for it in a real bricks-and-mortar store; in fact, in our smallish city (which is pretty much dominated by one drugstore chain) I would suspect that if it IS available, they would only have SOME of the shades. If any of you have read my previous reviews, you may have noticed that I am constantly searching for fragrance-free products for my husband's and my sensitive skin. In lipsticks and lip balms, I also want something that does not have any flavor (or maybe only a very slight non-irritating one). When I started running across reviews for the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter, it definitely sounded like just what I was wishing for (I also like SHEER and CREAMY lipsticks). Well, then I started looking at the Colorburst COLORS, including at the Revlon site (the Revlon site was actually the least helpful - the teeny little color swatches all look rather grayed, and they ARE teeny, especially on a small laptop!). The most helpful was the Google Images, but there the photos of the colors were not always identified. I kept coming back to Tutti Frutti, but worried it would be too orange (in some of the pictures it really looks BRIGHT ORANGE). When it arrived, it also looked bright orange in the tube, but when I put it on, it turned out to be more of a coral - which is just fine for me, since I have pale slightly yellowish skin, pale blue-gray eyes, and light brown hair (I also wear warm pinks and "natural" or "nude" colors). In recent years I've been buying Lorac lipstick (mostly the Breakthrough Performance ones); I like their light, sheer colors, and the smooth, creamy feel - but the stuff costs $22 at Amazon and most other places! I'm not 100% delighted with the one shade of Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter that I've bought so far - not quite as smooth and creamy as I would like, and the Tutti Frutti shade definitely has to be applied with a light hand for someone with pale coloring. And then of course you have to reapply it within an hour or two (but that's a tradeoff with all sheer and creamy lipsticks). So, I'll give this four stars, and give another shade a try soon. It IS totally unflavored, and I have had no irritation during the couple of weeks I've been using it.

I really like this color. I had been thinking buying an orange lip stick for a long time until I found this one. It's not bright orange. It looks very natural on my lip. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice texture but the color is too orange.
This is my first purchase of lip butters and I really like the texture. It is so smooth and moisturizing. I also like that the color is sheer unless applied very heavily. Read more

Could be more buttery and moisturizing i think. And i would love if it had the same smell as the lip balm stains.

4.0 out of 5 stars Moisturising, beautiful color
I love this lipstick. I was initially a little worried about the color but it's not as strong when you put it on. Also, it's super moisturising which is awesome.
